Hi Stunning the world with MARY, the account Մարիամ Մելքոնյան already exists. If that is you also, please log in as "Մարիամ Մելքոնյան" and post here to confirm. If this is not you, or if you cannot log in, please go to their talk page and ask them if you can take over the account. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 08:53, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Biblioworm@global

Dear Biblioworm, the accounts are now global. Even though there is no account on en.wiki, there is a global account, and they have sufficient edits that they cannot be usurped. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 08:56, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
@Biblioworm: Per what Taketa said, and also, this is in the wrong section: this request should've been filed at #Requests involving merges, usurps or other complications. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 11:33, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
I see. I wasn't aware there was a global account (how do you check for that?), so I thought it would properly be under this section. Thanks anyway, but I probably just won't rename after all if I can't have this username. Biblioworm 16:48, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
But just to clarify (I checked the username on CentralAuth), the other "Biblio" has an account on only one foreign-language wiki with a little over 100 edits made in 2006, while I'm an enwiki admin with almost 10,000 edits and have been active in all years since 2014, and yet the account cannot be usurped? I thought the rename script was supposed to rename all unattached accounts to a name specific to that wiki ("Biblio~mkwiki", for instance). Did it miss this one? Biblioworm 16:57, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
If a name was used on multiple projects, we could not assign the global account to multiple people. But they all had a claim. As such the rename script checked which one of the accounts had most edits. That account became the global account. The rest was renamed. The mk.wiki account "Biblio" probably had more edits than the other accounts, so it became the global account. This should be seen seperate from a usurp. In a usurp the other person never had the name. As such, the person with the name has more right to it then anyone else. They have only 100+ edits, and someone else may have 10.000+. However the amount is enough to be a real editor. Someone with 1.000.000 edits does not suddenly have a right to take the name of someone with only 10.000 edits. I am sorry that this means the name is not available. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 17:10, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Although it appears that you have found out the answer already, you can find global accounts (and any attached local accounts) via Special:CentralAuth. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 17:43, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi @Steinsplitter:, thank you for your feedback. The account Spix mar is from 26 May 2012. It was originally created in Commons and it was no real sock before the user globalization. I forgot about this account in my original request on dewiki. As I already told to Itti, the foundation is ignoring my requests. They even reject my registered mails. I really appreciate your efforts. Thank you in advance. --Spix mar (talk) 22:36, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

The current accountowner has valid edits (en:Special:Contributions/^_^). Not sure if we should usurp him. --Steinsplitter (talk) 19:17, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
I already have at en:User talk:^_^. The account has not been active in over 10 years and its sole user/talk page link on en.wiki is at en:User talk:Madchester/Archive01. TaylorMoore2 (talk) 21:20, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
As fare i know it does not matter if the account is inactive. The account has valid edits. Pinging @K6ka: for second opinion. --Steinsplitter (talk) 11:41, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
The edits are not blatant vandalism and were not immediately reverted and never restored. I would say that an usurpation is not possible unless the target user comes back and gives their consent. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 17:49, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Could you usurp "Plz" (without quotations)? From what I can see, the account has one deleted edit on nl.wiki. It appears to have been an inappropriate user page according to a note on the talk page and the deletion summary. Already notified. TaylorMoore2 (talk) 23:02, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

I do not understand what you mean by login redirect? Ruslik (talk) 20:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Well, this is strange, as of today it does not happen anymore. Till yesterday, whenever I logged in to the English wikipedia as Ezander, I was logged in as Ezander~enwiki and redirected to a page saying something like "Congratulations, you're account has been renamed from Ezander to Ezander~enwiki, and now we also logged you in as Ezander~enwiki whether you like it or not, blah, blah, blah" and so I first had to go to the German wikipedia, log in there, and then go back the English wikipedia (actually, that annoyed me so much that I did not log in at all and just edited with my IP). I just wanted to look up the exact message, but it doesn't appear any more, and I'm logged in as Ezander, so everything's fine for me (Don't know why, maybe because I created a new user page yesterday, or confirmed my email and some robot removed that redirect stuff during some nightly cleanup? Anyway, it works now...). Ezander (talk) 21:03, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
