Anup

Status:    Done

I wish to usurp following local accounts with no bureaucrats for the purpose of SUL unification. My username "IndianWikipedian" was recently renamed to "user:Anup" at home wiki (confirmation link). I'm the owner of user:Anup SUL account (link). Thank you! Anupmehra -Let's talk! 13:09, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Ajraddatz (Talk) 14:14, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello Ajraddatz- May I have a link to the specific page where I can place a request for the usurpation at mr:wiki? RENAMELINKS is not helpful in this case. If no central location, I'm not sure how to find a bureaucrat in languages, I'm not aware of. IndianWikipedian (talk) 15:44, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
On mr:Special:ListUsers/bureaucrat, both users are currently active. I'm not sure what the local rename page is, but you could try directly asking one of them on their talk page. Ajraddatz (Talk) 15:50, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks a ton! IndianWikipedian (talk) 16:21, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
You're welcome; let me know if you need any help with the ridiculously-complicated process :-) Ajraddatz (Talk) 16:36, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Anup

Status:    Done

I want to usurp the following accounts

As suggested earlier, I notified the target user on his talk page (ne:User talk:Anup). There's no objection and it has been 14 days since I posted on the talk page. I'm owner of User:Anup SUL account (confirmation link) and have already been renamed on my local wiki (diff link.). Thanks, Anup (talk) 04:46, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Done, though there was a bureaucrat that returned to activity since I last checked two weeks ago that I should have contacted first. I've left them a note. If you want the IndianWikipedian account to be renamed to Anup there, please contact Nirmal Dulal locally. Thanks, Ajraddatz (talk) 04:56, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Wazrom57

Status:    Done

Please delete this global account since a bug while creating it for a en:WP:ACC request resulted in the global account being created without any attached wikis. --FunPika 13:11, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

I think it is done. I got "Error: the global account "Wazrom57" does not exist." after clicking delete button. There was a bug in global account deletion, and it was fixed by hoo iirc. @Hoo man: Could you please look into this--Shanmugamp7 (talk) 13:33, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
After an initial check I can only tell you that this should have never happened (but I can't tell you why it actually did happen, at least offhand). I'll have a more thorough look at this tomorrow (unless I forget about it). - Hoo man (talk) 23:31, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Fauzan

Status:    Done

I want to usurp the following accounts named Fauzan.

I had messaged on the talk page of bureaucrats on all four wikis on 22 March, but did not get any response. The accounts I want to usurp have all made 0 edits. The requests made are here and also given below

id.wikibooks.org Request
id.wikiquote.org Request
id.wikisource.org Request
su.wikipedia.org Request

-- Fauzan✆ talk ✉ email 19:25, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

All accounts have been usurped. The only wiki with a semi-active bureaucrat was su.wp, but they did not respond to your message and last edited weeks ago. Ajraddatz (talk) 20:25, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

I want to usurp the following account

It is the only account that is preventing the consolidation of my unified login. TIA.

--Riezjart (talk) 07:34, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

There is a local bureaucrat who is active. Please contact them locally (try their talk page). QuiteUnusual (talk) 07:42, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Jiwe

Status:    Locally handled

Create an account for Jiwe on the English wikipedia and unify it with his unified account. He is unable to do this himself because of a range block and the functionaries at en-wiki are not being very helpful. More information available here. Please do hesitate to contact me on this matter. --Pxos (talk) 18:34, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

I responded on the talk page there. The ACC system (or a sympathetic admin or account creator) would be the best way to go. Ajraddatz (talk) 18:37, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
Great. The ACC system does not work, try requesting "Jiwe" yourself. Let's hope there is a kind soul somewhere. --Pxos (talk) 18:42, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
Being handled on enwiki. Ajraddatz (talk) 19:13, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
A comment in regards to ACC, we dealt with the request per policy however we are not able to create accounts if the account already exists. On a second note, the user dealing with the request, kept leading Jiwe on a goose chase which was not necessary and was told about it at the time. Jiwe should have neem informed of the users new attempt to deal with the issue locally but it seems not and he carried on with original obsolete advice. Thanks, John F. Lewis (talk) 22:50, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
I don't understand anything anymore. Did you receive Jiwe's request twice? The first one before he was given this piece of advice: "Please go to [fi-wiki rename] and request that a Bureauocrat on your home Wikipedia assist you to usurp the unused account on the English Wikipedia." There were multiple issues (wrong advice, an account to be usurped, a range block) that all contributed to this problem. But the new advice is: contact a bureaucrat on the English Wikipedia for problems on the English Wikipedia. --Pxos (talk) 00:25, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
I don't think further discussion here is useful; the request was done and the issue is now resolved. Nobody really knew how to handle it because the issue had not come up before, and required a creative solution. That solution has since been publicly posted to the bureaucrats' noticeboard on enwiki, so they will know what can be done in the future. Ajraddatz (talk) 00:28, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
Well the ACC people have to be informed as well. John F. Lewis is basically saying that someone botched this up, and it is not very helpful to anyone. If similar issues arise on the Finnish Wikipedia, I would like to know whether I should recommend the ACC process or not, and after John's comment I am more baffled than before. Perhaps the discussion should take place on en-wiki. --Pxos (talk) 00:57, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

HLHJ

Status:    Not done

I would like to merge my SUL with an old, trivial account of mine on a closed wiki, for which I no longer remember the password or e-mail. Details on the talk page.

Thank you for your help. HLHJ (talk) 21:17, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

There's nothing stewards can do over here. If this is really important for you, try requesting a new password for the unattached account (if you can still remember the email address), after that, you can unify the accounts. - Hoo man (talk) 15:36, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

WikiUserFS

Resolved. Nothing can be done sadly.

Good day! In 6th June 2013 I left my account in RuWiki for a wikibreak [1]. I've changed my email from fedorsarbeit296@gmail.com to another, now the new email belongs to another man (after the changing the password in RuWiki, the password was also changed in all my SUL). Now I want to return to RuWiki and restore the access to my SUL WikiUserFS. Proofs:

  1. I can show you my first email : fedorsarbeit296@gmail.com
  2. My IP range was 176.108.0.0, now it's also 176.108.0.0.

Please help me to restore my account. Thanks, the owner of SUL account WikiUserFS, 176.108.151.218 18:20, 25 April 2014 (UTC).

While I was able to verify that the old email address is correct, I couldn't verify the IP range, as we don't preserve such private data for such a long time span. Due to that I don't see a way we can make sure that your request is legit with the given data, sorry. - Hoo man (talk) 19:40, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
