I want to usurp the following accounts

There is only one local bureaucrat and he's inactive. So I ask here to get this account für completing my SUL. (on englisch Wikipedia I request a usurption too, but there are enough local bureaucrats I hope) --Wikijunkie (talk) 20:20, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

The local bureaucrat is active, their last edit was only a month ago, and they seem to be generally responsive to rename requests. You posted your request there only today. Suggest you come back here having given the 'crat some time to respond. QuiteUnusual TalkQu 21:38, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
The local crat is in a wikibreak like he mentioned on his User-Page. I found this after my post there, so I was forced to ask or rename here. --Wikijunkie (talk) 22:00, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
I didn't see that notice, thank you for pointing it out. The local account has been usurped. QuiteUnusual TalkQu 14:13, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

I´m Partynia and have a global account at all wiki projects. All of them work (auomatic log in) but the meta account doesn´t work. I even cannot log in manually, because it says, the password is wrong. (It isn´t, because it works on all other projects). when I ask to send me an email with my password, it says, the emailadress is wrong. Here is my SUL Info. Who can help me? Please answer on my disk (german account) Thanx. Partynia --178.26.64.20 07:54, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

As you can see, there are 2 other accounts (eswiki, itwiki) which had been created the same day as metawiki (Sept. 9) automatically. There are 0 edits at metawiki. Please delete the Partynia account on metawiki. Than I will be able to create a new one with my global account name. Thank you. Partynia --178.26.64.20 09:28, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
You need a Meta crat to rename the Meta local account out of the SUL. MBisanz talk 14:20, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

I want to be renamed to Tracx with the following accounts

--Attracx (talk) 08:50, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

On both wikis there are local bureaucrats, please visit en:Wikipedia:Changing username and es:Wikipedia:Cambiar el nombre de usuario. --MF-W 16:20, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

I need some assistance with a SUL problem. I registered on en.wp on 5 May 2009, since when the SUL feature has worked for all other Wikipedias that I've visited, except for one - Urdu. Despite using Special:MergeAccount every two or three months, which occasionally adds other languages to the list of those which recognise me, it stubbornly refuses to link the Urdu one - see bottom of this list. The account does exist, but it doesn't recognise my password.

There are three users listed at ur:Special:ListUsers/bureaucrat, but I cannot contact them unless I can set my interface language to "en - English", because I can't read Urdu. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 15:27, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Well, you can append ?uselang=en to the URL to get the English interface. The talk page of the bureaucrat who most recently edited is ur:تبادلۂ_خیال_صارف:محمد_شعیب. --MF-W 16:23, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
I'm having difficulty doing that because the RTL input means that although I click at the right-hand end, whatever I type goes in somewhere in the middle, where it probably won't work. I can't even tell whether ur:تبادلۂ_خیال_صارف:محمد_شعیب is a user page or a user talk page. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 17:12, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
I can completely understand that, using RTL wikis is a pain. That said, [1] should lead you to the "create a new section" possibility for the User talk page mentioned above. A useful trick is to press Ctrl-Shift-X to change the typing direction. --MF-W 17:43, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
OK thanks; I managed to make this edit. To me, it looks like the datestamp has been split by some text, but let's see what they say. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 20:10, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Now sorted, see here and ur:صارف:Redrose64. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 09:17, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
Great to hear; marking this as done. --MF-W 00:08, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Fauxbot

Status:    Done

I would like to register a user with the name FauxBot, but the name Fauxbox is already taken in the global user registry, but not used at all as far I can see. According to the logs the account was created three years ago and never used. It there a possibility to remove the global account (it is not linked with any local accounts)?--Faux (talk) 17:41, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

To clarify, there is no user called no user called sulutil:FauxBot, and no user called sulutil:Fauxbox. There was however an account sulutil:Fauxbot, a global account with no attached local accounts. I have deleted that one now, so you can register your bot under that name. --MF-W 18:38, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Thank's a lot for the fast response! --Faux (talk) 19:12, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

OxygenBlue

Status:    Not done

I made a username for the Danish wiki, as I thought I needed that to edit Danish pages. Now I was logged in with that user, as I was creating a new page on the English wiki... can you merge OxygenBlue and OxygenBlueDansk, please?

OxygenBlue (talk) 17:21, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

It isn't possible to merge the edits of two accounts on the same Wiki in the way you are suggesting. The best you can do is to make a note on the userpage of OxygenBlueDansk that it is your account and then stop using it. QuiteUnusual TalkQu 19:26, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

QuiteUnusual Problem

Status:    Done

I have an SUL problem that I don't understand and can't fix myself. Yesterday I accessed some projects for the first time when performing renames. I was able to complete the renames successfully indicating at that time the SUL was working (e.g., here). However, now the SUL tool shows unattached local accounts on these projects. Special:Mergeaccount won't merge them, and if I try and logon to the projects I get a password failure. I'm puzzled as to how this could have happened - it looks like a local account has been created but with a different password but this shouldn't be possible if an SUL already exists. Obviously I can't rename these "wrong" accounts to move them out of the way to try the SUL again as I can't access the project to do the rename. So, two requests, can someone check if there's an SUL bug or problem here, and, assuming this is the right solution, can someone rename the broken local accounts so I can access the projects in future please? Thanks QuiteUnusual TalkQu 10:08, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

Smells like bugzilla:39996. --MF-W 11:06, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
I renamed you on the affected wikis where you had no edits or log actions ([2]). For the remaining, you may want to await a general solution (or something like bugzilla:39997), in order to keep the log actions under your normal account name. Complain if you don't ;-) --MF-W 11:43, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Super, thanks... Live and learn! QuiteUnusual TalkQu 13:11, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
I've mentioned this problem in bugzilla:39996. Hope you don't mind. πr2 (t • c) 14:56, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Good call, I should have done that myself. I believe I have managed to recreate the problem and have added details of how I managed to make it go wrong - hopefully a dev will be able to track down the root cause now. QuiteUnusual TalkQu 15:46, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
It looks like you've single-handedly narrowed the problem down significantly. Well done! (Commented) πr2 (t • c) 15:57, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
