Status:    Done

Hello. I want to request the usurpation of the username Gus on pt.wikipedia.org. I have the Gus username on SUL and most of the accounts related to it. Thanks. --Gus 21:35, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Account has 60 edits on ptwiki. I'm afraid this might not be done. I'll be looking if a local policy allows it on the other hand. --dferg ☎ talk 10:39, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
The Gus account that belonged to Gus (hernoemd) was recently added to my SUL account and it had almost the same edit count as the Gus account here. --Gus 19:20, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Okay, the local policy says that we must contact the user by mail, if no response is received within a week = OK to usurp, so I asked Teles to send a mail to the user, so now let's wait a week. -- Màñü飆¹5 talk es 07:56, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. A week has passed. Any news from the account holder? Gus
did he reply? Matanya 20:22, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
No reply from the account holder. However, I'm looking at the local policy and to me it looks like it disallows renaming accounts with valid contributions (which is the case here) without the explicit consent of the account holder. I'll leave it to someone with a better knowledge of Portuguese to verify that, though. Jafeluv 10:12, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
Done as the user didn't answer the email, per this. -- Màñü飆¹5 talk [es] 02:52, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but accounts can not be deleted. Do you mean renaming or usurping for SUL purposes? Regards, -- Dferg ☎ talk 10:27, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
No response, and this is already the user's own SUL account -- although its only edits seem to be making this request here. Marking as not done. Jafeluv 22:40, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Redaktoro from ja. wp (problem with unifying accounts)

The following request is closed: not done. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Status:    Not done

I have created different accounts in different Wikipedia languages (and projects) with the same name (Redaktoro) from ja. wp. But I can't log on with pl. wp, because other person logs in pl.wp owing to same account'of mine. I wrote over 200 edits in many languages. But Redaktoro loging on with pl. wp wrote only 5 edits and doesn't wrote any edit in another language except Polish. Since I cannot log on with pl. wp, I cannot ask Polish bureaucrat belonging pl. wp to usurp user account named Redaktoro from pl. wp. So I want to usurp the following user account with only 5 edits. I desire bureaucrats and stewards to usurp user account named Redaktoro from pl. wp. I have this entirely to you.

--Redaktoro 14:16, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

You should ask Polish bureaucrats. Just create an account with a different name and point to this request. Ruslik 14:44, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
I ask a Polish bureaucrat who can read and write English to usurp user account named Redaktoro from pl. wp, who wrote 5 edits in 2005 simply.--Redaktoro 11:39, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
FYI usurp process on pl.wiki has been started. LeinaD (t) 16:37, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you very mush. I leave the usurp process on pl.wiki entirely to a Polish bureaucrat.--Redaktoro 22:46, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I want to usurp the following account:

If possible I'd like these deleted, if not then also usurped.

I'm posting this here, because I don't speak HR/IT and it wouldn't make sense if I used Google Translate.. Thanks in advance! --Bubbly 05:40, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, we're not allowed to do usurpations in wikis with active bureaucrats. You can just make the request in English if you don't speak the local language -- bureaucrats often have to deal with requests by users from other wikis, and chances are most of them understand English just fine. The place to ask for usurpation is here for en.wikipedia, here for it.wikipedia (with English instructions), and here for hr.wikipedia. Jafeluv 07:26, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
Okay thanks for the info, I'll post it there, just one more thing.. Since I don't have an account on those pages my IP-adress will be showed.. Does that matter or can the bureaucrats validate me through that? --Bubbly 09:40, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
You can create an account under a different name, and that can be then renamed to Bubbly when the account is usurped. Jafeluv 10:01, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

I need to merge this account sanko to all my global account. Since I can not retrieve password and can not merge this, I create sanko65, anybody can help me? Sanko65 01:30, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

You account on meta is already merged to your global account. Ruslik 06:09, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

I mean in commons, not meta. Sanko 13:15, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

You can ask for a usurpation on Commons. -- Mentifisto 13:21, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I would like my English account 1 to be renamed to 2 and merged with my global (French) 3 account. Thanks. Note: I lost the password for en:Cgay and apparently the email address registered for it is an old one as I don't get any email from the lost password process. Thanks. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cgay (talk • contribs) 13:00, 2 April 2011 (UTC).

Please delete the account mentioned above. Call me noob, but I had no idea that there is a thing like "unified login". I have now created an account according to my username in the german wikipedia (dang ... Dearth Nadir is so much cooler than my old nick :-( ) --Dearth Nadir 21:06, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Steorra

Status:    Done

I have the SUL 'Steorra', except on a few projects where it was previously taken. One of those projects is here at metawiki; the username Steorra at metawiki has no edits, and I would like my SUL to usurp it. How is that arranged? Do I need to make an account here with a different name in order to usurp 'Steorra', or can the name simply be transferred to my existing SUL? I suppose I ought to confirm somehow that I am in fact the owner of that SUL, but I can only comment on this page anonymously at the moment since I don't yet have a metawiki account. 99.172.14.41 18:50, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

I would like to add that if possible, I would also like to usurp the name 'Steorra' on angwiki, which has no bureaucrats; the account there does have one edit, made in 2006; I don't know if that's an obstacle.99.172.14.41 19:04, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
To confirm your identity, make an edit to your talk page in enwiki. Ruslik 06:03, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I have now done so. 99.172.14.41 14:14, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Part done: done at angwiki so just log into Steorra and visit there and it'll link to your SUL. As for meta, it has its own bureaucrats so you'll need to ask here. fr33kman 14:54, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. 99.172.14.41 16:16, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Anna

Status:    Done

Not sure where to go for this -- can I make two requests under one heading? First of all, I was renamed earlier, and no longer want an SUL for my old username (Anndelion).

I would like to be able to create the global account for Anna. There is a sysop using that name on the Spanish Wikiquote, who has an SUL under the name Cookie.

However, she has stated that she does not want to keep any of her Anna accounts. While I don't have any interest in the Spanish Wikiquote specifically, I cannot set up the SUL because of her sysop flag. I'm not sure what to do next, since her rename request was closed in 2008, so any help would be appreciated. I can let her know I've opened this request here, if that's proper protocol. Thank you. Anndelion 01:51, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Forgot to add: the Spanish Wikiquote has no bureaucrats. Anndelion 01:54, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Can this user Anna/Cookie post a formal request here to be renamed? Ruslik 06:47, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Here's my formal request: I would like my SUL to be unified, so I need my contributions on es-wikiquote and my sysop flag under the name Anna to be moved to my actual account [User:Cookie]. Thank you. Anna 21:19, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Done Ruslik 08:00, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! Would I able able to get the SUL for Anndelion deleted? Anndelion 08:19, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
We do not usually delete SULs. Ruslik 10:48, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

MaxR

Status:    Not done

I want to usurp the following accounts MaxR in EN and ES area. I have MaxR acc in RU area --MaxR 15:26, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Those projects have local 'crats. please ask locally. Matanya 22:45, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Gaijin

Status:    Done

I have the SUL 'Gaijin', except on a couple of projects: sv.wiki where the account will be usurped in a few days, and kk.wiki, where it had previous usage. The user in kk is an administrator, but he is not editing since 2010. I already wrote to him 15 days ago without any answer. --Gaijin 06:57, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Actually, the administrator is named GaiJin, with a capital J. Gaijin is an unrelated editor. Jafeluv 07:01, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I was wondering why I was taken to his userpage when I entered kkwiki first time, and I found the reason: Gaijin userpage redirects to GaiJin. Then, my request is the same, referred to the account without the capital J, who is not editing since 2008, with 10 edits, all the same day.
Can it be done? --Gaijin 07:25, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Done Ruslik 07:54, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot! --Gaijin 08:06, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
