Requests for usurpation or deleting global accounts

I no longer have access to my e-mail account that I signed up as on the following accounts:

No contributions there, nor are there likely to be, but it seems cleaner this way.

Hi Bruce89, it.wiki has active bureaucrats, so please request usurpation on right page. Leinad 23:40, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Wutsje on pap:wiki

The following discussion is closed.

Hi. I have a problem on pap:wiki: for some reason something went wrong with my sul account unification there (see here). When I visited that wiki for the first time on February 20, an account was indeed created (see here), but somehow I'm still not able to login there: I keep getting the message that my password is wrong. The only bureaucrat on pap:wiki has not been active for over a year (see here), so requesting user usurpation locally does not seem to be an option. I would appreciate it if some steward were to assist me in fixing this problem. Regards, Wutsje 21:14, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello Wutsje, should be solved now, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 21:27, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
It is. Thank you! Wutsje 04:30, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Joey Kaminski

The following discussion is closed.

I had an account http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Joey_Kaminski get hacked into. I'd like to get rid of any problems that may have been done to it. Thanks. I'm willing to help. I really don't need the Joey Kaminski account, just need to get rid of any problems it may have for getting hacked into. Thanks. Just contact me on my wikipedia talk page which is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:JoeCool950. Thanks

It looks like that account is already blocked. Kylu 03:37, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
I need the unified account removed on the Joey Kaminski account. Someone else got into that account when it was still regisetered to me. Thanks.--JoeCool950 03:58, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
I just need the SUL removed from my user account http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Joey_Kaminski, which is all. Thanks. I know it's blocked, but if the SUL can be removed, then we're halfway there. Thanks.--JoeCool950 04:27, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Local bureaucrats can perform renames into and out of SUL reserved names. Can you explain why you think this will help you? Kylu 04:42, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
I think this would help me, so that the account could be registered for anti-impersonation measures, since someone got into that account!!! Hopefully that's reasonable and helpful.--JoeCool950 05:11, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
That's fine, just have a local bureaucrat rename the compromised account. You'll have to have an English Wikipedia bureaucrat do it, though: We're not allowed, since that project has its own accounts. You'll want to visit en:WP:CHU to file the request. It'll be up to them to grant or deny it, we have no "veto" or allowance to override their decision on the matter. Kylu 05:16, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Hello JoeCool950, I have locked that account since its only contributions are vandalic, which user is impersonated by it? If the user who is impersonated wants that name he will have to ask for renames on en.wiki (should be uncontroversial, vandal edits there) and on pl.wiki (0 edits there). Afterwards he can come here and ask for the deletion of this global name so he can register it new, to coordinate this better he may visit ##wikimedia-stewardsconnect. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 05:27, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't know which user impersonated it. An administrator told me that someone had gotten into that account, which I had renamed from Joey Kaminski back to my original one I started out with JoeCool950. I just need to register it, so I can change the username.--JoeCool950 05:40, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
The user impersonated is JoeCool950 himself - Joey Kaminski is his old username. I was the one who had informed him that Joey Kaminski had been taken by Grawp. -Jéské Couriano (v^_^v) 06:22, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Jéské Couriano, well, I think this is the best way then, the account is locked, so he can't continue to use it, as soon as all local accounts (pl.wiki and en.wiki) are renamed, the user can request for deletion of the global account and reregister it, if he does not want to go through this it would be not much problem, since the account can't be used anymore by the vandal. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 06:43, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Pl.wiki was so kind and renamed the account already, en.wiki is now the only one open, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:23, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Not anymore. Kingturtle renamed the account earlier today. -Jéské Couriano (v^_^v) 20:34, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Great, now the name would be free again to register it, we can delete the global account, if he wishes to or leave it, then it stays protected anyway. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 21:29, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

en:user:Jørgen

The following discussion is closed.

Hi, I'm en:user:Jørgen (will put confirmation on my user page there). I have two questions:

  • Am I allowed to get the "global" login Jørgen? It appears from http://toolserver.org/~vvv/sulutil.php?user=J%C3%B8rgen that I was the first person to register this username.
  • I registered a username on Commons. Somehow that also became registered at enwiki, possibly because of my browser's cookie. If the answer to the previous question is "no", will I have to deal with two usernames on enwiki, or is there a way to prevent the Commons username from logging into enwiki, and to delete that other account (the "not-Jørgen" account) and prevent it from being recreated? Thanks! Jørgen-temporary 02:53, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Additional note: On the above list, I control the enwiki and nowiki user. I know that I do not control the dawiki, commons and mediawikiwiki users, and I do not know if these are the same person. The meta username I'm unsure about, but my usual password didn't work. Jørgen-temporary 02:58, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello Jørgen, the account on da.wiki is older and (more importantly) has more edits and sysop access. So the da.wiki account would be able to make it a global one. It he would not be able to add the local accounts of Yours.
It is impossible to have gotten registered "automatically" on en.wiki with browser cookies, because the account is not yet global, You must have done this at en:special:userlogin/signup.
If You do not wish that accounts will be automatically created for You, You should not activate SUL. Accounts can't be deleted, only renamed. If You still wish to have sul, You should check for a not yet taken username with http://toolserver.org/~vvv/sulutil.php? and ask for rename of Your accounts, and then unify them at [special:mergeaccount].

Dans

The following discussion is closed.

Hi, I am lmo:User:Dans/it:User:Dans, and I'd like to usurp the name Dans on mk.wiki as well, thus succeeding in the account of mk:User:Dans, who appear to have no edit at all.

I'd also like to know if I can merge with this user here on Media, although I am not still ad admin on my wiki.

--84.221.65.206 20:40, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello, all those wikis have local crats, please ask for renames there (interwikilinks to the requestpages can be found on this page, or type special:listusers/bureaucrat into the searchfield on the local wiki), thanks. Please note that usurping might not be possible on some projects if the accounts have edits, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 10:41, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

In the af-wiki crat Anrie does not want finish my request because account holder (inactive above 1,5 year, no any edits) does not respond to her e-mail. First my request, talk with Anrie.

In the case of successful solve with af-wiki, rename my af:Jackie-new to the target account. Thanks. --Jackie 10:39, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Hello, in case the locals deny a rename there is nothing we can do, tl.wikt account renamed, on af.wiki there should be now more bureaucrats and probably a procedure for sul conflict accounts, note that being able to create a sul account does not mean to have the right to usurp all local ones that one does not own. You can explain the bureaucrats kindly that the global account is owned by You and a 0 edit account is not a problem to be renamed, if the user wishes to edit under an account, he just creates a new one, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 16:49, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I want to usurp the following accounts

Created months ago and wasn't even used once. I own this account on the rest of the wikis. --Biog 15:49, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Comment Comment - I don't think that a steward can help you. Ru.wiki has three bureaucrats so you have to contact them. Stewards can only usurp when there are no crats. Huib talk 16:33, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
