Requests for usurpation or deleting global accounts

Sorry for coming back here, but, again, I have an SUL impersonation account on my hands. Since I've started using my real name on en.wiki, I was informed via email that the above account (a global one, again) was created. I've blocked and renamed it on en.wiki; I need to know where the rest of the accounts are (so I can get them renamed) and the SUL on that account nullified. -Jéské Couriano (v^_^v) 02:05, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello, no attached nor unattached account remain, if You wish we can delete the sul account an You can create that account to avoid further impersonation, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 02:09, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Meta has local bureaucrats, please ask for rename/usurpation here Meta:Changing username, because they might not see it here but see it there much sooner, thanks. Please note that usurping might not be possible on some projects if the accounts have edits, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 14:31, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

I established an account on en.wikibooks more than two years ago. I have would like to unify it, but I have forgotten the password, and the associated e-mail account is now dead. I do not know how to determine if en.wikibooks has any bureaucrats. -Arch dude 19:43, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

You find a list of bureaucrats here. --Thogo (talk) 19:46, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Link to the request-page: see the interwikilink here on the left screen, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 19:47, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the link to the bureaucrate list. Note that the interwiki link goes to a redlink at wikibooks, which is why I posted here. I will ask one of the bureacrats for help. -Arch dude 20:20, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for notifying us, I will fix that, please use b:en:Wikibooks:Reading room/Administrative Assistance/Renaming, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:21, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello. That project has many active bureaucrats. There are English instructions at Wikipedia:Cambiare il nome utente/Riassegnazione#For it-0 speakers (SUL) for usurping accounts there if you don't speak Italian. Kylu 04:16, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Noliver@es.wikipedia

In trying to create a global account, I discovered one existing account that isn't me, but has no history. Can it be merged with my global account?

Thanks --Noliver 08:48, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Nope, they have local bureaucrats, so we can't touch it. What you can do is to visit es.wikipedia and ask them to rename that user, though. They have directions in English at es:Wikipedia:Cambiar el nombre de usuario/English. Best of luck! Kylu 08:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I thought I might have to contact them, but didn't know how to find where to do so. I'll take this up with them now.Noliver 10:31, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Glad to help! If you run into additional wikis like that, the sidebar on this page links to rename pages on various projects. Quite handy. Kylu 20:30, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

I some time ago created an account on a jv wikipedia. But I forgot a password and now cannot finish creating a global account. I also do not set a mail for this account, so now I have a problem. Can it be merged with my global account?

Thanks. --Yenidai 22:42, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

That project has local bureaucrats, and Meursault2004 was active just yesterday. I'd suggest leaving a note on his talkpage requesting the existing account be renamed. Kylu 06:54, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
I left one for you. Kylu 02:44, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your answer. Yenidai 07:19, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Done! I renamed user:Yenidai to user:Yenidai (usurpasi 7-2-2009). Cheers. Meursault2004 11:16, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Pv7721@ro.wikibooks

Hello! I want to usurp the following account:

So I used to be Pv7721 on several wikipedias: http://toolserver.org/~purodha/sample/dbswithuser.php?usr=Pv7721 I got renamed to Vlad on major wikipedias (en, fr, meta, commons) but I still keep hand on the Pv7721 account. There is no bureaucrat on Romanian wikibooks: http://ro.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Listă_utilizatori&username=&group=bureaucrat&limit=50 so this is why I make this request here. The target account has no edits.

Note: I used to be admin on wikibooks: http://ro.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=Utilizator:Pv7721&diff=prev&oldid=5942 and on several Romanian wikiprojects, and I would like to usurp that account in order to been able to get SUL with the Vlad account. Thank you! --Vlad 10:59, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Wrong home wiki

The following discussion is closed.

Hi Stewards, as I just noticed, my home wiki seems to have become meta by accident. Of course, it makes much more sense to declare de:wp as my home wiki. Could you please change that? Thank you! -- JøMa 08:35, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

That is technically not possible, sorry. --Thogo (talk) 11:00, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Correct me if I am wrong but the project where you have to most contributions or have special user rights will become your home wiki right? So more editting on de:wiki should fix it right? Abigor talk 11:11, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
No, the home wiki is set when the global account is created. Ok, one could delete the global account and they can try it again... --Thogo (talk) 11:13, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Myst account on wikimedia.

Thanks. 86.194.245.102 22:00, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Who are you and on which project(s) and why do you want to usurp that account? --Thogo (talk) 22:07, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Assuming that you mean the Meta wiki (for which this would be the wrong request page), I renamed Myst here, so you can log in to Meta now. The other unattached accounts with this name are on wikis with local bureaucrats. You find the links to the appropriate request pages on the side bar of this site. I consider this Done. --Thogo (talk) 22:25, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

I want to usurp the following accounts:

I have left a note on the bureaucrat's talk page on la and vec, but they seem to be inactive. These two accounts belong to the same user, and he also had an account on it.wikipedia with the same username, but that one has already been usurped, and these two are the only ones left to be usurped until I can complete login unification. Regards, Maximillion Pegasus 18:02, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello, according to their logs they are not inactive, also these two accounts have many edits, if the local crats don't fulfill that request it is their decision, it will not be done from Meta. Thanks for Your understanding, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:16, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

I know accounts can't be deleted, but they can be de-merged as far as I know. --Sunstar NW XP 23:18, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

I would like to usurp the account 'Cynical' on Turkish Wikipedia to complete my SUL migration. Could you please delete my global account and my bot's global account so I can change my home wiki from en.wikipedia to meta? Thanks, Maximillion Pegasus 01:12, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Done --Mardetanha talk 01:15, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I am a sysop on the Simple English Wiktionary and it won't allow meta to be my home wiki. Is there a way to get past this? Maximillion Pegasus 01:22, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I think homewiki is simply just determines by the wiki that you had your most of you edits and for you it is enwiki --Mardetanha talk 01:28, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Being a sysop on Simple English Wiktionary took precedence over having more edits on en, but anyway, thanks :) Maximillion Pegasus 01:31, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Just a thought, if you could get a local bureaucrat to agree to re-sysop you afterwords, we could de-sysop you and delete the global, that way it wouldn't take precedence. Since you've got local bureaucrats, we can't re-sysop you, of course. Kylu 01:37, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it would do much good because I have more edits on en than here so en would end up being my home wiki again. But thanks anyway :) Maximillion Pegasus 01:41, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
What you could try is changing the password and email on your homewikis account. Then unify that account. Since no wikis where you have the same password or email will be found, that should automatically be your homewiki. Then you can manually merge the rest, and change the password and email back. You would still need the global account deleted first, and the 'homewiki' wiki is still no different then any other wiki (quite useless in fact). Prodego talk 01:44, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I've already merged the accounts anyway. But thanks for the suggestion :) I'll be ok with simple.wiktionary being my home wiki :) Maximillion Pegasus 01:52, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
