My main account is on no.wiki Bevegelsesmengde but I use another username on en.wiki which I would prefer not to rename. With SUL, I keep getting logged into the wrong account on en.wiki. I would therefore request that my ties with en.wiki are severed, SUL-wise, or if removing it on en.wiki only is impossible, that my SUL account is reverted back to the individual no.wiki account it was beforehand. (Note that I tried to fix this locally on en.wiki [3] but autocreation thwarted this) Bevegelsesmengde 18:15, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

I can suggest You three solutions:

1. let Your other account being renamed to the one on en.wiki, and useing this as sul account then (having the same name everywhere)
2. unmerge the autocreated account on en.wiki [4] from Your sul account Bevegelsesmengde (if You rename him then there again, it will be autocreated the next time when You come from no.wiki to en.wiki again)
3. delete the SUL-account Bevegelsesmengde completely, these accounts would get unmerged:

Ok, no, You could not do it Yourself. I have unmerged "Bevegelsesmengde@en.wiki" now, if You go to special:mergeaccount You will see that en.wiki is unmerged. Don't let the account on en.wiki now being renamed, it will block the autocreation of another "Bevegelsesmengde", and You will not be logged in automatically to the en.wiki one.

If You one time are not happy with that anymore, You can remerge it Yourself at special:mergeaccount.

Hello, the bug that SUL accounts can't be renamed has been fixed (see top of this page), so he can rename without problems, he just has to choose a checkbox (and Your SUL has not to be deleted). I thought creating an account automatically meant my account worked on ALL Wikipedias and Wikimedias. But it seems this is not the case, and I do not understand.

I tried the "Unify" or somthing like that, and I get an error or some sort of message, saying that it can "Unify" everywhere . . . except in the "en:" ! ? ! ?

From what I can find out by myself there seems to be an account on the "en:" that has my name. It was opened in Feb 07, but never contributed or discussed anything. Yes, I can do that, but I want to warn You that this will be quite useless: reason is SUL, which means You don't have to login to the wiki but keep logged in if You just visit another wiki, there an account _is already reserved for You_ and just is then activated (created automatically), You will observe lots of automatic creations on wikis where You might not have been in the future.

If You don't want that You'd better deactivate SUL forever for Your accounts, because we won't fulfill useless requests and doing Sisyphean tasks. Thanks for Your understanding.

My principal account already organised into SUL is en:User:noychoH. Yet, by an original error, I have also another account as en:User:noychoh incorrectly, with the lowercase "h" in the end). I wanted to merge them since 2006, but no-one ever was able to give me a hint, how, and later no-one more answered my requests. You can see the discussion on my two accounts' main and talk pages.

Now with the SUL I have note read that I need to change the name of any account BEFOR creating a SUL, in order to merge them or to usurp another account. And the account was created immediately once i have confirmed my identity. Now, can I merge that another account into my own one (with all its history, discussion etc.)

 Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus  wrote to me back in 2006 that I could also merge my account even with the IP number. Is that true?

I also don't know why I couldn't have the initial letter in lowercase "n" - Wikipedia has changed it to "N", incorrectly (againts the Klingon spelling rules), now with the changes of the name I would like to change it into the lowercase letter, if possible.

Hello EVula, I have deleted GHelzn and MathDance because they were empty, Afranetwiki had a fully functionable sul (one account at en.wiki, autocreated, but still he would then have to ask for it himself, since it even contributed). If such happens it is imho better to delete the sul account (to prevent that automatic accounts are created) but I guess there are lots of such empty sul accounts (without any merged account) floating around.

I'd like to be taken out of the global login system. I have a different name on each Wikimedia project, and whereas before I would log into each individually, now when I log into Wikipedia I am automatically logged into all other Wikimedia projects under the Wikipedia global name. Depends on when they said that to you. Some months ago it *was* necessary to delete the global account before renaming, but that's fixed now. Hello, being able to unify local accounts does not mean that You are allowed to take over all local accounts that have not been Yours before, You will have to ask for it, if the owner of the local account does not respond or decide to ignore Your request we can't do anything about it. I would, if I were You, explain the user why this is useful, also for him to choose a not yet taken name, if he does not comply I would choose another name myself (that is what I did years ago btw.).

If we "delete" Your SUL, that means that all local accounts will be unmerged and no longer attached to each other, also You will have to log in on each wiki and on the wikis, where You don't have an account yet, You will have to create a new account. But the local accounts will stay as they are!

Furthermore Your name will not be protected anymore and anyone could register "윤성현" on a wiki, where Your name does not exist yet.

Please undo my unified login. The reason for the request is that when switching between different language Wikipedias I am now frequently required to log out of unwanted "autocreated" accounts in other languages and log in again to my real main accounts (which have different user names) in those languages, and when returning from those accounts to en:. This affects, in particular, my accounts on cy: and fr: (although not normally es: and nl:, for example).
