In honor of Juneteenth, AAM’s Detroit-based Black Associate Network recently visited the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) to explore exhibits dedicated to African American history and culture. They viewed the Regeneration: Black Cinema 1898-1971 exhibit, which highlights the often-overlooked contributions of Black filmmakers in American cinema. The group also toured the Tiff Massey exhibit, showcasing the award-winning Detroit artist's jewelry, sculpture and multimedia work inspired by 1980s hip-hop culture and her Detroit roots, all while engaging with historical artifacts and contemporary artworks that honor the legacy and impact of African American artists.

#TeamAAM recently teed off at the 44th Annual Automotive Golf Classic (AGC), hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan (BGCSM) at Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion, Michigan. In support of our ongoing partnership with BGCSM, AAM sponsored a hole at the AGC and engaged in a variety of contests across the course.

Our St. Marys Manufacturing Facility (SPMF) in Pennsylvania recently partnered with St. Marys Area High School’s Dutch Manufacturing Program. As part of this collaboration, SPMF welcomed its first co-op student this January, who, as of June, has become a full-time Tool & Die Maker planning to build his career at AAM!

Our Three Rivers Manufacturing Facility (TRMF) in Michigan recently hosted Western Michigan University students for a facility tour. The students explored TRMF’s operations and learned about quality processes, production planning, safety protocols and environmental safety. They also saw new machining lines and learned about teamwork on complex projects before leaving with AAM-branded swag. Go Broncos!

AAM’s Black Associate Network, Young Professionals and LATIN Associate Resource Groups (ARG) recently hosted a leadership and emotional intelligence workshop featuring Master Certified Coach Cathy Mott at our World Headquarters (WHQ) in Detroit. #TeamAAM learned about the importance of developing a healthy relationship with oneself, identified their leadership styles and viewed the four quadrants of emotional intelligence through interactive group exercises.

#TeamAAM recently presented and exhibited at the U.S. CTI Symposium in Novi, Michigan, to showcase how we’re #BringingTheFutureFaster. Attendees learned about our products in our electrification portfolio, including our 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 electric drive units, traction-enhancing differentials and more. They also got to engage with our interactive product display table and configurator slider wall and hear from our Director of Electrification Innovation, David Crecelius, during panels and Q&A sessions.

Our Asia Headquarters & Engineering Center (AHQ) in China recently participated in Chery Tech Day 2024, an automotive event held in Wuhu, China, that serves as a platform for unveiling cutting-edge innovations in electric and hybrid vehicle technology. #TeamAAM had the opportunity to attend tech seminars and demonstrate how we’re #BringingTheFutureFaster by showcasing our products and technical capabilities to over 400 attendees, focusing on all-wheel and four-wheel drive products, electric drive units (EDUs), e-Beams and other electrification technology.

#TeamAAM from our Detroit Campus recently gave back to the community by volunteering with The Greening of Detroit, a non-profit organization that aims to make a positive impact in Detroit through tree planting. 37 Associates came together to plant 60 trees in a local Detroit neighborhood alongside other community partners.
