FAQ

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions part of the knowledge base. This is our official area for FAQs. It’s more detailed than on the product landing pages and covers everything we’ve been asked that’s relevant to others.

How do I install Jetpack CRM core?

Once you’ve downloaded the ZIP file, go to Plugins then Add New. Upload the ZIP and activate. You can also download directly from the plugins respository

How do I install Jetpack CRM extensions?

Once you’ve downloaded the ZIP file, go to Plugins (yoursite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php) then Add New. Upload the ZIP and activate the extension.

How do I log into my Jetpack CRM account?

You can log into your Jetpack CRM account (or reset your password) here. Full instructions can be found here.

Is there an API?

Yes. We have got an API for the core plugin. You enable this via the Extensions Manager

Do you take on custom development?

We understand that a CRM can be re-factored into a number of different business management tools. We aren’t taking on custom development. Read about Requesting Features here.

Where can I demo the extensions?

We don’t run a live demo of the extensions. The extensions are transactional, i.e. sending emails, creating invoices. As such, opening up a demo would open up full use of a CRM

What is your support policy

You can read our support policy here.

How do subscriptions work?

All of our extensions are sold using a subscription model. The prices you see are annual prices. The annual price covers updates and support. Your subscription remains active and automatically renews unless you cancel it.

Will the extensions stop working if I cancel my subscription?

After the first year, the extensions will be fully functional on your website(s). But if your subscription has expired you wont receive any new updates and support from us anymore. Of course we will advise you to maintain an active subscription for the safety of your site, to receive new released functions and to receive any help from our support department when you need to. But renewing your subscription is your own choice. You can learn how to cancel your subscription here

How can I rebrand the plugin?

Our Reseller Package has a rebranding option. Throughout the CRM pages (non site admin roles) the plugin is referred to as Jetpack CRM. So no profanity exists in the actual customer management areas.

Can I resell the CRM to my clients?

We offer a Reseller License which grants you use of the site on 10 domains. If you have more domains than this contact us to discuss higher tiered options.

Is there a multi-site license?

Our bundles and individual extensions are all sold on a single site license. A CRM system isn’t something you’d run ‘Multi-Site’ or even on a WordPress Multi Site Network. If you want to save on the per license cost for all the extensions we offer the Reseller extension which gives you a 10 site use. This works out at 75% discount compared to purchasing 10 Entreprenuer’s Bundles

Do I get every future extension in the Freelancers Bundle?

No, only the Entrepreneur’s bundle and the Reseller’s bundle grant access to all the extensions (and any future ones we develop, as long as your subscription is active).

What is your refund policy?

We offer a full, no-hassle refund within 14 days. You can read more about that, and how to request a refund, on this page.

How does B2B mode (Companies) work in Jetpack CRM?

Jetpack CRM allows you to manage contacts at companies from within the CRM. This adds a heirachy to your CRM, letting you add a contact to a company. Currently you can bill (invoice) companies or contacts respectively, but in the future we want to make this much more integrated.

For now, this works as follows:

  1. Make a company, e.g. “Davidsons Ltd.”.
  2. Make a contact, e.g. “Dave Davidson”.

… as part of making or editing this new contact you will be able to assign them to the company made in step 1.

Invoices and transactions can then be assigned to either “Davidsons Ltd.” or “Dave Davidson” directly.

Does Jetpack CRM work as an ecommerce plugin?

Jetpack CRM allows you to create and manage quotes, invoices, and transactions against contacts. While this setup may be used in some senses like an ecommerce platform, really the aim with Jetpack CRM is to effectively manage a contact list, including manually billing them (e.g. getting invoices paid online). This works well, via our client portal, but if you want a fuller ecommerce setup, we recommend using WooCommerce, which we integrate with, (it’s really great).

Does Jetpack CRM work as a booking / recurring subscription plugin?

Bookings: While Jetpack CRM has a useful Task scheduler which can help manage tasks against contacts, we do not have a pure booking layer. For this we recommend using WooCommerce and a WooCommerce bookings plugin, (integrated into Jetpack CRM via the built-in WooCommerce Sync feature.)

Recurring subscriptions: Much as above, you could create an invoice via Jetpack CRM, then make it recurr via Stripe and have that synced into Jetpack CRM via StripeSync, but in this instance we’d recommend using WooCommerce subscriptions.

Can Jetpack CRM help me pay sales commissions?

We occasionally get asked if Jetpack CRM can help calculate and pay sales commissions. We do have some users who are using the CRM for this, but there is no direct features out of the box which will provide this functionality, these users are simply totting up the transactions assigned to contacts based on their ‘owners’ in Jetpack CRM, then paying these commissions manually. We may in future expand our reporting to offer something along the lines of a sales summary per agent.

When do I need a license key?

You can now add your license key into your Jetpack CRM settings page (under ‘CRM License’). This is only required if you wish to use paid extensions. To get started with premium CRM extensions, please visit our extension store.

After you’ve purchased you’ll be guided to your new license key and extension plugin download.

What add-ons are available?

We have over 30 premium extensions available in our CRM extension store. These are totally optional, but supercharge some aspects of the CRM, (e.g. StripeSync automatically pulls in your customer and transaction data from Stripe).

Most users tend to purchase bundles of extensions, which allows them to ‘make their perfect CRM’:

How do I purchase more than one license?

We have many agencies using Jetpack CRM, so this is a common question.

To get stared please see our bundles page – if you’re likely to need 10~ licenses, the best bet is to get started with the Reseller package. If you want to build up more slowly, please purchase the Entrepreneur bundle and let us know via a support ticket if you would like to add additional licenses to your account.

Do you offer a free trial?

We offer a full, no-hassle refund within 14 days. You can read more about that, and how to request a refund, on this page.

I can't log in into my Jetpack CRM account

We have put together a step-by-step guide to reset your password on this page.
