"AR computing!" Say goodbye to traditional laptops. An Israeli entrepreneur has innovated a technology that bids farewell to our traditional laptops. Tamir Berliner- founder of Sightful and the innovator behind the Spacetop G1! What is the Spacetop G1? Spatial computer that seamlessly integrates the functionality of a laptop with the capabilities Of Augmented Reality (AR). A 100-inch virtual workspace replaces the need for a physical screen. Spacetop G1 adapts to various environments, whether at home, in the office, or on the go. This represents a step forward in integrating AR technologies with daily tasks. Spatial with AR transforms how we interact with digital content, personally and professionally. The real test will be in its execution. The usability of the AR interface, the battery life, the comfort of AR glasses, etc., are crucial. I believe Sightful has managed to address these practical concerns effectively. And I am awaiting the official release in india. Congrats to Tamir Berliner and the team for their bold move and fantastic innovation. The Spacetop G1 is an evolution in how we think about personal computing. Are you a student eager to be well-prepared for a critical course? In the attached video (presented in Hebrew), I introduce the "Assaf Method" within just the first five minutes. This technique is named in loving memory of Assaf Shomer and is designed to help you prepare for key courses, either with a friend's support or on your own. 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥: Get a rough idea of what the course covers and what’s expected—think of it like seeing a blurry Mona Lisa. You won’t get every detail, but you’ll know enough to feel prepared and dive deeper during the semester. As a Teaching Assistant for the Data Structures course, I dedicate the rest of the video to demonstrating how to apply this method specifically to Data Structures. Link: https://lnkd.in/e_J9538q I hope this technique helps you achieve greater success in your studies!

Last week we upgraded our oldest recommendation algo - "Similar Articles" It was Doc2Vec that was trained on 2M+ articles from scratch ~5 years ago(when there wasn't Sbert or any Hebrew LM available). We moved from batch processing to streaming using Google Pub/Sub and Qdrant DB. Our current model is Gecko-Multilingual from Google Deep Mind. (the full model's revolution was Doc2Vec --> Bert(link in first comment) --> Gecko). The most important part is the performance in production, the CTR increased by XX% due to the model quality and streaming. #qdrant #Recsys

This post is dedicated to my non-Israeli friends. But everyone’s welcome to read it :) I’m sitting down to write this post about 10 minutes before the Israeli Memorial Day transitions to our Independence Day. Every year this is a nearly unbearable transition, from deep sadness to pride and joy. We are taught, from a very young age (as early as 6 years old, as I learned this year through my son), that these two dates were set intentionally, so that us Israelis will always remember that our independence came, and keeps coming, at great cost. This year, I feel it’s even worse than unbearable. It’s simply impossible. I find myself uncapable of celebrating Independence Day. As a nation and a country, we’re still at war. As an individual (and far from being the only one feeling like this), I’m still mourning. I truly believe we should still find ways to be happy and participate in or even initiate whatever activities that serve that purpose. But highlighting the achievement of becoming an independent country, of forming a safe country for Jewish people.. Right now it just doesn’t feel like the right time to do that. And here’s why I’m writing to you, non-Israelis. I want to tell you more about what I’m mourning. I hope this will help those of you who see Israel at a mostly negative light, better understand the complexity of our reality. Personally, I fully acknowledge Israel shares the responsibility over the truly shitty life of the people of Gaza. Along with that, I’m mourning what Israelis must live through right now: The tragic loss of so many loved ones, so many of them in terrible ways that I don’t think I’ll ever dare expose myself to. The need to leave their homes, and uproot their families, their whole lives. The fear that we’ll never feel safe again, not in Israel, and not anywhere else. The feeling I often struggle with, that I might never fully recover from my personal Oct 7 experience. That I will never be my best self again because of it – not the best mother I want to be, not the best partner, not the best friend, not the best employee. So back to the complexity – you see, almost all Israelis are like me. People who just want to feel safe, just want to provide their kids with everything they need, just want to be able to celebrate without thinking about all that is wrong in the world. I’m proud to be Israeli, although I’ve never felt more challenged to say it out loud.

We recently took part in CTech by Calcalist’s 2024 VC Survey where we shared our thoughts on the current status of Israel’s high-tech sector. In it, we give our thoughts on how the Startup Nation has been affected by the events of the last year, offer practical tips for founders looking to raise, and share why despite the challenges we are more confident than ever to partner with the new wave of high-potential growth companies.💪 Bottom line: We have absolute faith in the resilience of Israeli entrepreneurs, a trait that has defined our nation in the face of challenges for decades. A peaceful Passover to all of our Jewish founders, friends, and family! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dDhgH74m

Important work by our team in DDR&D (MAFAT) - Directorate of Defense Research & Development , with Webiks and DICTA - The Israel Center for Text Analysis. As we accelerate the development of Hebrew Large Language Models (LLMs), we are seeing increased engagement from academia, industry, and other sectors. A crucial aspect of our project is the creation of tools and methods for algorithm comparison. These resources are essential for facilitating advancements in this field. We have made these resources available as open-source (see below). You can access datasets and leaderboards to compare various Hebrew LLMs and select the optimal algorithm for your specific needs. https://lnkd.in/daFXkbnH

Last week Bria was ranked #20 of the most promising startups in Israel, kudos to the team! It is a long journey to build a startup. At 8 years old, I fell in love with mathematics, and at that point, I knew that's what I'd get my PhD in. That passion not only shaped my academic path but also ignited my interest in visual technologies and AI, which led me to pursue a PhD in computer vision. During my studies, I began to realise just how much the future of content would change with AI coming into the mix. Fast-forward to 2020, during COVID and before the Gen AI hype, I combined my understanding of how visuals can be generated with AI and the valuable enterprise experience I gained in my previous role at Trax Retail, to co-establish an AI startup called BRIA. We had one simple goal: To make it easy for any individual and company to generate the exact visuals needed for any use. Our key objective in helping you achieve this is to ensure that we provide you with a transparent, open, and responsible AI platform trained solely on licensed data, no public figures and deep fake, no privacy infringement. And in a world where more than 43% of people don't trust companies to use AI morally, Responsible AI use has never been more important. In building BRIA, we've been able to help businesses all over the world scale their content development process. And what gets me even more excited is that we've been able to partner with different creators to ensure that their creativity is respected, rewarded, and isn't pirated. We trained our own high quality foundation models and built the core tools of Generative AI so everyone can use it. The journey so far has been anything but linear, and I'm eager to continue sharing the innovative features we're developing, discuss the critical importance of Responsible AI, and explore how you can leverage our platform to its fullest potential. Join us as we pave the way for a new era of content creation, where innovation meets integrity.

Take a look at this picture. It was taken today at our Salesforce offices in Tel-Aviv. It shows a few dozens of Salesforce Israel employees in one of our regular all-hands meetings. What's so special about that? Well, that picture was taken exactly 36 hours after Iran launched a massive aerial strike against Israel with 100s of UCAVs, ballistic and cruise missiles carrying about 60 tons(!) of explosives. Thanks to the Israeli Air force, the air forces of the US, UK, France, Jordan and others *and* Israeli innovation and engineering talent who developed the most advanced multi-layered air defense systems in the world - luckily that attack ended up with relatively low impact. It was a sleepless night for all us in Israel who got an advanced notice of the attack and basically spent that night bracing for impact. Now take another look at this picture. 36 hours later - People showing up at the office, talking to each other, having a few laughs, having meetings, discussing deadlines, solving business problems, discussing engineering problems, doing demos, having coffee and lunch together, having an all-hands meeting together. 36 hours ago we were bracing for impact of 60 tons of explosives that were about to fall out of the sky. Take another look at this picture - This is how resilience looks like. You can count on us. We deliver. No matter what. https://lnkd.in/eXSvz3xv

**Which is better for toxic and harmful text classification: Keras, Mistral-7b, or Llama-2-7b?** 🚀 Excited to share our final project from the Advanced ML/DL course! Together with Raz Graider, Sophie Margolis, and Ran Asanta, we tackled the challenge of detecting hate speech using machine learning, sentiment analysis, and NLP techniques. In our project, we compared a Keras neural network model with two advanced LLMs: Mistral-7b and Llama-2-7b, utilizing Hugging Face 🤗. Our goal was to classify text as offensive or non-offensive, leveraging three distinct datasets. We trained the Keras model on a comprehensive dataset, while the LLMs were fine-tuned on a small fraction of the data using LoRa and prompt engineering. Our results provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of each approach. 💡 Key takeaway: The Mistral-7b model outperformed the others in detecting hate speech! Huge thanks to my amazing project partners! 🤝 Check out our project on GitHub for more details:
