Surfshark very knowledgeable chat, no logs, features

Very knowledgeable on every aspect of VPN that I have used and how VPN's interact with the internet. I have spoken with them twice, their main page is very navigable, tab categories I've used make sense, they have reps with very good English comprehension. I've been with them 3 months. They have very knowledgeable Chat service that I have used four times in the last month (June-July 2024 with good response time. Re-establishing new chat after weeks was easy - just type in from box of previous chat. Last time I spoke with Noah Davis who had the knowledge I needed in his head. I chose Surfshark initially because they keep no logs of traffic (unlike many of the lower priced VPN's), lots of nodes, price was a little bit more than most but a lot less than Nord. To me, getting good chat support is better than live phone or email because I can explain better. Oh, and alternative ID, other stuff I don't use yet.

Both Kason and Lucas Padilla were…

Both Kason and Lucas Padilla were incredibly helpful and patience. I absolutely love SurfShark in the United States with only around 5% speed lost (tested by speed test), but been having issues with the Great Wall of China. Both Kason and Lucas patiently listened to my complains and offer both options and solutions for me. While the connection in China is still questionable, the customer service of SurfShark absolutely saved the day in terms of keeping my subscription. Cheers to both of these reps, these kind of customer service is what every company should strive to have

An amazing customer service agent

I had an issue with my surfshark connection as I am in china and they have a lot of network restrictions.

I got connected with one of your agents, Lucas Padilla. A wonderful agent, was very attentive and was very patient with me as I asked him question after question.

He was very polite and explained everything to me in a easy manner and helped me sort my issue. It took over an over to help me resolve my issue and Lucas was right there with me through it all.

I really appreciate the help by Lucas and would recommend him to anyone having issues with their surf shark account.

Very confusing and hard to cancel

I regret my purchase. I logged in using my Google account without setting up a password. Trying to set up a password afterwards is impossible. I ended up in a loop constantly being told the password is not recognised. The troubleshooting wanted me to do a heap of tasks to fix it. Confusing instructions. The 7 day cancellation is (conveniently for them) hard to access. Please CANCEL my subscription. Judging by the other negative reviews, I suspect I will have to get my card issuer to do a charge-back. Please prove me wrong.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company, literally go for any other VPN service because this one does not respect you as a customer. Awful customer service experience, one of the worst I've ever had. Response times for simple tasks are long and arduous and supervisors are dismissive and rude. Don't waste your money here, absolute rip off with terrible 'support'. They won't respect you as a customer, I can't stress this enough. Proceed with caution and at your own discretion.

Surf Shark came through as promised!!!!

I had a problem with Surf Shark's performance. Mack Zachery, and Tina Wright actually not only committed to bring my concern up to the company, but they DID what they said they would do and Surf Shark got the problem resolved. And Noah Davis sent me an actual notification the problem had been resolved. It is a situation that had been a problem for me for several months. To me, it seemed insurmountable because no other VPN that I know of could fix the issue. Surf Shark said they would look into it. I figured it was just a smokescreen to get me off their back. But no, they actually DID look into the problem, and THEY FIXED IT! Fantastic!!!

Nobody takes ownership of a problem, passed on and on...

The app worked fine for a long time and then after some updates it stopped working in a spectacular manner, blocking view of other apps, constantly restarting, dropping connection, just utter rubbish. BUT worst of all was customer support. I had at least 10 different people 'trying' to help, sending the same suggestions, links, asking for diagnostics, only to start again with some other person. And the app still doesn't work. I spent hours following the instructions, restarign, rebooting, etc all to avail. I am terribly dissappointed

I was frustrated for 2 days trying to…

I was frustrated for 2 days trying to enter my new account. I couldn't get into the website to do anything. password wasn't working email address was working. I was getting really upset because I had paid for the access. I finally contacted Surfshark support and hooked me up with Maximus Lookwood and he took his time and helped me reset everything walked me through very patiently. Kudos to Maximus. Thank you
