It's.... certanly something.
Of course, for the first one, it's just setting up the stage and setting and all.
I mean, I'm not crazy about this whole "Floridian degeneracy" vibe, but then again, I'm an LCS kind of guy, so of course.
HW, HW, HWFG
Bruh what do you expect? Gta with no sexual content? Come onn, it's GTA
I know but they made it pretty much the main focus of the trailer
I think this will be the best GTA yet
@JadedTLC Interesting...
What do you base your statement on? Any knowledge of previous Grand Theft Auto experiences?
If so, could you state your ideas for how and in which places the series' next-in-line can grow and develop?
You're saying "Best Grand Theft Auto to date" in terms of... scope? Setting? Gameplay mechanics? Plot? Characters? Presentation?
From what has been officially presented to us, on which of these merits can you judge this production?
The first trailer of a R* product is always just a hook, a flashy showcase of the setting's overall feel and the kind of enviromental features/society you will encounter. It is also full of WIP material, placeholder items and things yet to be tweaked, changed, cut.
I sure couldn't tell what either IV or V were going to be like from their first trailers. The bottom line is, it is MUCH to soon to be making any assumptions about what the game will hold.
Finally, I believe it is only fair to enjoy each R* release as it's own self contained effort. Let's have less of this x is better y is best and see the great parts in each experience individually.
I think this will be the best one because the graphics and interplay look smoother and it looks like storyline could get better. Almost like a combination of Saint's Row, but not too far. cc @TheSultanAkbar
@JadedTLC Please do not devalue Grand Theft Auto by comparing it to that bargain bin never-was, now never-will-be series.
Remember when Reflections or Refractions or whatever tried to poke Rockstar with Timmy Vermicelli? And then R* went on an armed offensive and pretty much murdered and burried any competition? Reflections waved the white flag and made the decidedly less ambitious Parallel Lines as a peace treaty. (PL is a great game though, as is the Ubisoft follow up San Francisco)
Volition tried their hand at prodding R* themselves but R* wouldn't budge. They didn't even lift a finger and Volition just killed themselves, LOL.
I fucking hate the people who made True Crime: Streets Of LA (Luxoflux.) They straight up copied Rockstar and when R* included a very deservedly rude reference to Luxoflux’s shitty game in San Andreas, Luxo tried to paint them as the bad guys and if I recall correctly, they tried to file a lawsuit.
They did. All true, but at the time I lived there and it felt surreal to drive/walk into areas I had been to irl. The game itself is forgettable though.
What do you think?
