Tarifit Keyboard for macOS

You can download TarifitKeyboard.dmg directly from here or by cloning this repo:

git clone https://github.com/ipshel/TarifitKeyboardMacOS.git

You can copy Tarifit.bundle to your local library /Users/<youname>/Library/Keyboard\ Layouts/ to add the keyboard locally. or to /Library/Keyboard\ Layouts for wide system use. Then you add Tarifit, Riffian, or rif from input source preferences.

you can follow those steps to install Tarifit Keyboard:

1. Double click to open the image.

2. Double click on Tarifit lego icon with a red dot.

3. Choose install for current user or for all users

   • for all users will ask for authentication IN CASE YOU CANNOT SEE SOMETHING SIMILAR TO PREVIOUS IMAGE, TRY ALTERNATIVE METHODE IN 4. OTHERWISE SKIP TO 5.

4. only if step 3 did not work. Drag Tarifit lego icon to Keyboard Layouts in the right corner. This methode will ask fot authentication

5. Close Tarifit Keyboard image.

6. Eject Tarifit Keyboard image.

7. Open Keyboard Preferences.

8. Click on + sign. Add/Search for Tarifit, Riffian or rif.

9. Now you can select Tarifit among other languages.

You can access Tarifit characters by using combination of option-key or ⌥ alt ⌥ and/with/without shift-key ⇧ ⇧ shift as shown below:

alt ⌥+z = ẓ

alt ⌥+s = ṣ

alt ⌥+g = ɣ

alt ⌥+e = ɛ

alt ⌥+w = ʷ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+t = Ṭ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+d = Ḍ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+z = Ẓ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+s = Ṣ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+g = Ɣ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+e = Ɛ

alt ⌥+⇧ shift+h = Ḥ

⌥+/ = ⵣ
