    A question about this:
The user promotion system has been updated to include an option to trigger User Promotions based on the user's last post date. This will allow administrators to remove users from active usergroups when they stop participating automatically.
Currently the automatic promotion system is only triggered for users who have been active the last hour. So say I want to demote users who haven't posted for 30 days. Will a user who has been neither active nor posted in this period trigger this?

The option field is "Days Since Last Post" - so if they've been silently using your forum, that won't be take into account, it's purely based on posting activity.

      - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
      - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

Yes, I understand. But say he hasn't been logged in to the forum at all for two months. Then I guess he won't get promoted (demoted) at all since he won't trigger the automatic function?

If he hasn't logged in, he hasn't posted so you can trigger the promotion still. There is a tool under Maintenance โ†’ General Update tools to process this against all users whether they have visited the site recently or not.

I haven't had Vbulletin for quite some time.
I just returned, and for this update, I thought I could update with a click of a button from admincp.
I guess I need to figure it out with trials and errors.

That isn't something we've ever offered and don't forsee it happening at any time in the forseeable future.

We view this as a security risk. The PHP files that make up vBulletin should not be writable by the webserver. Most exploits in the past involve files getting overwritten or written to the file system without permission. Using SFTP/SSH/SCP to upload files is the most secure way.

For Xenforo and phpBB? This is a service that we provide for vBulletin Cloud at this time. Any transition of the service to self hosted won't occur for a while. You can migrate one of these to Cloud and then download the database for Self Hosting.

I am lost. 6.0.6 doesn't have a new style. It uses the same Default Style as we shipped with 6.0.0. Your customized style may not have picked up on some of those changes. Can you direct me to what you're referring to?

Sorry, but I can't see any function under General Update Tools to do this.

Should be the second tool in the 6.0.5 AdminCPโ€ฆ Usergroup Promotions.
