Tomorrow I'm off on a falconry and photography day. An awesome birthday present from Cath that I'm very much looking forward to. I've borrowed my daughter's camera and lens set up for it as mine probably aren't ideal. The Fuji X100F is brilliant but is a fixed 23mm lens. All other "working" cameras and lens combinations are 35mm film set-ups. Not sure 400 speed film will cut it in the November gloom.
I've been experimenting with it recently and the Pentax K5 is still a cracking bit of kit.
Despite wearing a coat of winter on it's few remaining leaves and upon it's bark, this tree reveals it's dark skeleton of limbs and branches against the contrast of the newly fallen snow. Photographed with Pentax gear.

this is my brother. this photo seems so intimate to me.we're really close, and he's wonderful. I love the tones that change in block colours down his shoulder.
