I visited Sydney's Chinese garden recently. As it's in winter, trees lost a lot of leaves. This one is from the end of autumn. Full of leaves and sun coming through.

This was a super place to have a lovely,

relaxing walk in the evening. :-))

Just a little fun this morning, HSS!

Sadness can not blow away the spring....... I will never be cheerful again as long as Russia wages this heinous war against the people of Ukraine.

Flickr friends, things have gotten busy in my life at the moment, so I'll be off and on here a bit more than usual for a while as I work to get things buttoned down.

Relaxing after working in the gardens here for about 3-4 days straight. I’m worn out, but the “Colors of May” just about make up for it. Enjoy your Spring season wherever you are. Stay safe. Be kind to everyone you meet today👍

the birds are a garden timer as they know when to eat the flowers. A hummer and another song bird in this image. Sorry not so sharp.

You can see the reflection of Wakayama Castle in the bottom of this photo.

Shooting through two home made filters ( a sheet of screening and a piece of thick plate glass from a cocktail table, allowing the light to run across it) and some post processing to emulate a salt paper calotype of the 1840's.

I am quite enamored by the photography of the nineteenth century. The photographers brought an unpretentious sense of poetics to their work.

Happy Birthday Sandy!

I hope your birthday be as special as you are.

Another rose garden shot for you my dear friends!!!

Enjoy your weekend! Cheers!!!

seen on our way through Devon - whenever you have a chance try to visit it...

the two singing birds appear in the same colors as the rhododendrons nearby...

Nature and Art in perfect symbiosis - the garden serves as an exhibition of several artists and further on it serves as a place for artistic competition - they invite special artists and the visitors vote for the "artist of the year"

A high-class 'back garden' at Hodges Barn manor: this is what the owners see from the back of the house: steps with a small statue of a lion, flowers, a lawn, topiary (the bush cut in a special shape) and trees.

Smile on Saturday - Creepy Creatures

The rain stopped a bit so I wandered around my garden with the Lensbaby Edge50... a lens I don't really have luck with... but I am determined to try it again....

This lens definitely has magical powers that can transform a very ordinary image into something different... it is a manual tilt lens and the more you tilt or adjust the aperture, you will get a different slice of focus.

Hopefully when my garden comes to life, I'll get better shots...

Something a lot different from my previous artwork of yesterday as I'm trying not to get into too much of an artistic rut! (although you'd never think so, judging by the number of mannequin artworks I often upload!! :-) Haven't a clue what style my next one will be! :-)
