Enredo[]
Os Regulators procuram fazer justiça e manter uma aparência de paz nas regiões em que atuam. Como a Capital Wasteland é um lugar difícil, eles atingem esses objetivos principalmente matando indivíduos perversos.[1] A organização foi fundada aproximadamente dez anos antes de 2277 por um grupo de indivíduos desconhecidos. Esses indivíduos financiam as operações da organização enquanto Sonora Cruz lidera o grupo, embora não seja explicado se ela foi ou não a líder durante a existência do grupo.[Non-game 1][Non-game 2]
Em alguns casos, os piores criminosos da Capital Wasteland vão ter recompensas feitas pelos Regulators.

Organização[]
Sonora e alguns outros membros operam a partir de uma pequena fazenda perto de Canterbury Commons, embora a maioria dos Regulators estejam operando em segredo em torno da Capital Wasteland.[2] Sonora assumiu a tarefa de pagar os membros da organização para matar indivíduos perversos, para os quais os dedos dos indivíduos são usados como prova da ação.[3]
Tecnologia[]
Todos os membros dos Regulators usam sua marca registrada, os sobretudos.[4] A organização não parece ter equipamentos padronizados além de seus espanadores, mas seus membros são conhecidos por usar laser rifles, laser pistols, combat shotguns, Chinese assault rifles, e outras armas pequenas comuns.
Interações com o personagem do jogador[]
Se o Lone Wanderer se juntou a organização, Sonora atuará como sua empregadora, aceitando os dedos que ele coletar dos indivíduos e os pagará por seus atos altruístas.[5][6][7][8][9] Se o Lone Wanderer foi bondoso ao redor da Capital Wasteland, Sonora irá elogiá-lo e oferecer-lhe com entusiasmo um bônus em dedos coletados como recompensa por ir além do que a organização solicitou dele.[10][11][12] Ela também os recompensará pela recompensa especial de Junders Plunkett se o Lone Wanderer matou ele e coletou seu dedo.[13]
Sonora tem pouco tempo para brincadeiras e repreenderá o Lone Wanderer se ele disser a ela que têm dedos para coletar a recompensa sem realmente ter nenhum, comentando que “a justiça é um assunto sério” e que eles devem fazer suas piadas “apenas quando indivíduos são eliminados da sujeira que se alimentam deles.”[14][15]
Se o Lone Wanderer foi particularmente ruim pela Capital Wasteland, ele será rotineiramente atacado por membros dos Regulators, que possuem uma recompensa por ele, independentemente de sua participação potencial na organização. Ao contrário de outras recompensas em que eles coletam os dedos dos injustos, eles pretendem coletar a cabeça do Lone Wanderer como prova de sua morte.

- Littlehorn & Associates são a facção antagonista dos Regulators e estão associados ao perk Contract Killer.
- Com o perk Lawbringer, dedos podem ser retirado dos cadáveres de humanos e ghouls malignos e podem ser trocado por Karma bom e 5 a 10 bottle caps dependendo do nível de Karma. Por outro lado, os Regulators também tentarão reivindicar a recompensa da cabeça do Lone Wanderer se eles acumularam Karma ruim cometendo crimes graves, como destruir Megaton ou escravizar pessoas na Capital Wasteland, ou simplesmente matando pessoas.

He grew up in Megaton and understand better than anyone what it takes to survive and thrive in the Wasteland. Big and imposing yet warm and friendly, Lucas won his position by an unanimous vote of the people of Megaton (most of whom genuinely love the guy). He serves as a mayor, sheriff, judge, and just about any other position that's needed. It is also no secret around Megaton that Lucas Simms is fulfilling some weird childhood cowboy fantasy. He named his son Harden after the Old West outlaw John Wesley Harden. Simms is also a member of a secret society known only as 'the Regulators'."
