Verb

perma (third-person singular simple present permas or perma's, present participle permaing or perma-ing, simple past and past participle permaed or perma'd)

  1. (transitive, video games, slang) To permakill.
    • 1997 December 21, Jag, “Re: Good Post/Idea”, in rec.games.computer.ultima.online[1] (Usenet):
My points were that a permanent death model was used on LegendMUD the predecesor to UO and it failed miserably. Promoted ongoing endless "hate" wars of permaing other peoples characters (perma'd character would make new one, build up, hunt down who perma'd him, that person would respond in same).
  2. (transitive, Internet slang) To permaban.
    • 2021 November 4, Calum Patterson, “Twitch streamer Elle Grenn banned from NoPixel GTA RP after metagaming accusations”, in Dexerto[2]:
Following the stream, Elle Grenn confirmed she had been permabanned. In a now-deleted tweet, she wrote “Yesterday, some of the RP that took place was solely based on meta information that shouldn’t have been out. I was really upset about this as it cut a lot of the RP with the PD completely out, so we tried to RP fix it. ¶ “Today I got perma’d for it? Nice.”
