Discussion open resulting from dispute over UFL Championship Game

[edit]

See Talk:2024 UFL Championship Game#Designated home team? for open concerns relating to possible unsourced assumptions about which conference is the designated home team for the game. Jalen Folf (Bark[s]) 04:49, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The person pictured on Victor Hampton (American football) is playing basketball, but there's no mention of any basketball career. While the Flickr page says it's Victor Hampton and it's a Gamecocks account (and he played for the South Carolina Gamecocks football team), I wonder if there is any chance it's the wrong guy.

Would someone with more sports knowledge help out here? = paul2520 💬 14:11, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think we're good here; as Zagalejo said here, the photo appears to be from a charity event where non-basketball stars played. = paul2520 💬 02:13, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns regarding articles about arena and indoor football leagues

[edit]

I've just had to remove a significant amount of information regarding inactive Indoor Football League teams Columbus Wild Dogs (except verifiable) following news that the owners are no longer involved (here). This made me realize how much of a mess all of these pages have become since the end of the original Arena Football League. Is there any way these pages, both inactive and ongoing, including season articles, be cleaned up, particularly to bring them up to par with many different Wikipedia guidelines, of which there are too many to list? I'd like to pose this as a challenge to all WikiProject members, as it relates to subject matter of this project's interest. Jalen Folf (Bark[s]) 23:29, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
