Portuguese special forces

[edit]

Congrats for your work on Comandos, but I noticed that you are deleting the "(Portugal)" suffix in the list of special forces units. Please note that Portugal is not the only country in the world with a Grupo de Operações Especiais team, as far as I know also Macau and Brazil have at least one, so it would be preferable to keep the "(Portugal)" suffix at the end. Thanks. --Nkcs 00:46, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thanks for the corrections

[edit]

No problem =) I also noticed that you are quite interested in Portugal-related articles, if you are Portuguese maybe you'll like to add this in your user page: [[Category:Wikipedians in Portugal|Yosy]] . Cheers. --Nkcs 02:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice written article! , kudos. Amoruso 16:43, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks mate :) Yosy
[edit]

Maybe they fall afoul of something here? I expect some of the article editors will answer in due time, though; you might try asking the people who removed them directly as well. Kirill Lokshin 23:37, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding edits made to Rhodesian Bush War

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Yosy! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bmembers\.tripod\.com\/.+, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. Maritime trades invite

[edit]
Pan pan. Pan pan. Pan pan. Attention all vessels. This is WikiProject Maritime Trades. Please be advised that the project has been created to improve the quality and coverage of articles related to shipping and the diverse maritime trades. Assistance is requested. This is Maritime Trades standing by on Channel 16.

Hey Yosy, I'm extending this invite to Wikipedians who mention they are current or former mariners. If the project seems interesting, you're certainly welcome to join the group! Cheers. Haus42 14:03, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yosy, thanks for getting back to me, and I look forward to working together. In case all the project stuff is confusing, I put together the toolbar below. If I can be of any help, please feel free to let me know. I won't even make you salute me. :) Haus42 20:22, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Operation Cabinda

[edit]

In the Operation Cabinda article which you created in late 2006 you said the SADF wanted to confirm the existence of African National Congress (ANC) members in Cabinda province. Are you sure it was national congress? (because Cabinda is far away from SA. Did you mean Congolese National Army (ANC)? Jose João (talk) 09:40, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I meant ANC - national congress (like ANC training bases, not operational ones) Yosy (talk) 00:10, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

kvot Habarzel Brigade|401 Brigade

[edit]

Shalom Yosy,

Is this not the name of the brigade any more?--mrg3105mrg3105 00:29, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is, but the title of the article is 401st Brigade (IDF). It was just a minor correction I made. Shalom - Yosy (talk) 00:35, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Archangel1

[edit]

Can I suggest that if you have issues with Archangel1s conduct you use the proper process for resolving those issues, rather than try to short circuit them. the approach is perfectly clear although I do tend to agree with what he's trying to do, simply escalating the issue in the way you've tried won't help to resolve the difficulties around content.

Nomination of List of unsolved problems in history for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article List of unsolved problems in history, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of unsolved problems in history until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 08:46, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When adding links to material on an external site, as you did to Einsatzgruppen, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead.

This is my edit. You'll notice I did not delete anything, merely edited it for grammar and prose. All your additions were still there. But now you've undone my edit. Did you even bother looking at the differences? Poliocretes (talk) 04:13, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Israel POV and vandalism

[edit]

This important information was removed from an article by Pluto2012, despite he is the only one who inserted repeated information about territorial and demographic changes. Perhaps you could restore the missing content and finish this nonsense. Thanks.--190.17.195.187 (talk) 23:05, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Portuguese order of precedence, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portuguese. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:52, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ship transport or water transport?

[edit]

You have previously discussed the title of the ship transport article. There is a proposal to move this article at Talk:Ship transport if you care to participate. —  AjaxSmack  21:26, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Polemarch/Navarch

[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I didn't disagree with the content of your edit but just wanted to make it more uniform to other similar pages, which is why I added the new section. Thanks for that though; I hadn't considered the equivalent naval rank at all.Yojimbo1941 (talk) 21:41, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! I already knew about the naval rank, but was reading Thucydidies and came across "polemarch". Makes sense linking both Wiki articles in a similar fashion. Yosy (talk) 08:46, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some clown edited the S13 Organisation with the WRONG information

[edit]

The Organisation portion of the S13 article uses wrong information from Globalsecurity.org. The wikieditor has written in that YALTAM is the underwater company of S13, when it's not true at all. Have tried to fix it but the article is protected. 101.174.217.150 (talk) 12:36, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done! Thanks man! Join up and become an editor - that way you can edit protected articles with no problems! Yosy (talk) 19:32, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
