Welcome and introduction

[edit]

Hi, Marmouse999. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  11:38, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Adoption request

[edit]

Hello there, Marmouse999! I'm Netalarm and I have been around for quite some time now. I'm messaging you because I've noticed that you've indicated that you want to be adopted on your user page. I'd be more than happy to help you find a match for an adopter. All you have to do is fill out the survey located here so I can have the necessary information to match you up. Of course, you may also choose your own adopter - the instructions to do so are also on that page. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on my talk page.

Once again, welcome to Wikipedia! Netalarmtalk 23:34, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now that was quick! But you don't need to worry about reducing the things yourself. I am pretty sure there is someone (or several someones) who have scripts that reduce images automatically. All the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 22:41, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. So now he tells me! Hehe. :DMarmouse999 (talk) 23:14, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:04, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

[edit]

Hey it's DeltaQuad again,

Was just wondering if you were still interested in finishing the adoption? I am sorry I forgot about it, but I have the time to tackle it. Let me know. -- DQ (t) (e) 06:03, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Recettear Shop.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Recettear Shop.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
