Mark Spence Mark Spence was an American child model in the 1990s and early 2000s. Born Mark Spence Smith in September of 1990, Mark's name was later changed to Mark Pollich after his father's family name in 2002. Mark was the poster child for Polo Ralph Lauren childrens clothing from 1994 through 1995.

Family Mark Spence lives with his parents and two younger siblings in Boulder, Colorado, where he attends high school. Spence's grandmother, Wilma Spence Levin, was a 1930s and 1940s opera singer and theater actress in New York City. His grandfather, William Levin, was the son of golf clothing mogul, Leon Levin. Leon Levin (clothing company) was purchased by Ralph Lauren in the early 1990s, which is where Spence got his start in modeling.

Career Before Modeling for Ralph Lauren, Mark Spence was featured in Pampers print and television advertisements when he was almost one year old. When Mark Spence's real modeling career began, he was only three years old. Friends with pagent princess Jonbenet Ramsey, Spence knew how to model and was hired by William Morris talent agency in New York in summer 1994. By Christmas of that year, he was on the advertisements in department stores and outlets across the US and Canada. After departing with Ralph Lauren and William Morris in 1995, Spence contined by modeling for print adds for KMart and Macy's Christmas-ware in 1997. In 1998, living in New York, Spence took a two year hiatus. Then in May of 2000 he began to audition again, barely being beat out by another child for an Abercrombie kids ad. His last Ad was and Italian Ad for D&G Junior, a child's version of the expensive, high fashion clothing designer Dolce & Gabbana. Spence quit modeling for good in 2001 and moved back to Colorado in 2002. He was recently cast as an extra with many others in The Jennifer Garner comedy, Catch and Release, which was filmed in Boulder in 2005, Mark's hometown.
