Thank you for reverting my edit here. I failed to check carefully before making the edit suggested by AWB. I should have noticed the word was Spanish and left it alone. Thanks for catching it. Cheers! --Thomprod (talk) 18:11, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of northernmost items. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of northernmost items. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

revert

[edit]

I noticed that you reverted my edit to History of Texas. The House sub-committee that investigated the assassination determined that there were four shots. While this number is controversial, it is the most recent "official" number which is why I think we should use it. Griffinofwales (talk) 14:30, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial edits require sources. There are already reliable, verifiable sources saying that three shots were fired. If you don't want to be reverted, I suggest adding a source of your own that not only says the number "four", but refutes the older sources and explains why they are wrong. – jaksmata 18:40, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and reworded the sentence to remove the number entirely. I think that the number of shots is an issue that would be better to discuss in detail at John F. Kennedy assassination, rather than History of Texas. – jaksmata 18:46, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. You edit was probably the best solution to the problem. Thanks, Griffinofwales (talk) 20:35, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats

Miracle fruit ---> Synsepalum dulcificum

[edit]

My apologies on the copy/paste. I was not sure on the protocol for undoing the move, but in hindsight I can see why copy/paste would not be the right approach. Charlrob (talk) 00:08, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's no problem, and thanks for your support. I'm confident that it will be fixed (by an admin) soon. – jaksmata 13:45, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Biased editing of Technological Utopianism by Loremaster.

[edit]

Biased editing of Technological Utopianism by Loremaster.

Due to your past contribution to Technological utopianism, you may currently want to help editing the Technological utopianism article because currently only one editor is contributing to the article. The Singularitarianism Article could also benefit from your help.

I feel Loremaster is editing Singularitarianism and Technological utopianism in a biased manner in accordance with his Save The Earth propaganda. Loremasters's ideology seems to verge towards Neo-Luddism. Here are the damming facts Loremaster has stated in discussion:

Loremaster says he is:

"...critical of techno-utopianism in all its forms."

Loremaster wants people to:

"...stop indulging in techno-utopian fantasies... ...so that we can all focus on energies on saving the planet."

Loremaster sees his editing as a 'fight' and he states:

"Although I am convinced that the world is in fact heading toward an ecological catastrophe, I think it can be averted and my optimism makes me want to fight to do do just that."

  1. LOL
  2. Despite the fact that I openly admit to being a technorealist who is critical of techno-utopianism in all its forms, I have let never this point of view influence any of my edits or reverts of the Technological utopianism or Singularitarianism articles. On the contrary, I am the person most responsible for expanding the former article with content some would argue is “pro-techno-utopian” (i.e. passages from James Hughes' book Citizen Cyborg).
  3. I find it disgusting that 81.151.135.248 would take comments I made out of context to falsely make it seem I see my editing of any article as part of my fight for the environment.
  4. In light of this outrageous act of bad faith, I will do everything in my power to get this jerk banned from Wikipedia.

--Loremaster (talk) 00:54, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My only edit to that article could be accurately described as "drive-by editing" during a period of time when I was bored. I assure all parties that I have no interest in getting involved. – jaksmata

Thanks!

The World Calendar capitalization

[edit]

@ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:World_Calendar, World Calendar capitalization, I wrote, ‘"The World Calendar" is a proper noun. Elisabeth Achelis was very specific about this. The page title should be changed to "The World Calendar . . .’ You wrote, ’Moving a page is pretty straightforward. I'll do it if there are no objections (the page history will be preserved).’ I have no objections to the correction if your offer is still open. You can confirm via e-mail if you wish. Thanks! File permission problem with File:HollyPiirainenColorFramed.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HollyPiirainenColorFramed.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 02:43, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Angel Moroni Small.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The World Calendar

[edit]

Jaksmata - Requesting help to REVERSE Crissov’s 29 December 2015 edits to The World Calendar page and history. No response received to date. Thanks! ALI LAZURE (talk) 04:30, 14 March 2016 (UTC)ALI LAZURE Posted 8 March 2016 to User talk: Crissov:[reply]

For a title change to be useful or helpful it would be to leave in place “The World Calendar” title but add “World Calendar” under it so that searches lead to “The World Calendar” page.

In addition to the COPYRIGHT VIOLATION, Crissov’s 29 December 2015 edits to The World Calendar page and history demonstrates, without prior discussion, likely vandalism and bias. The three word proper noun reflects TWC founder’s preferences so dropping THE therefore otherwise violates the Wikipedia’s goal for accuracy. The Crissov Talk Page includes discussion about Leap Week calendar that demonstrates a preference for it when compared to The World Calendar. One’s personal preference does not authorize this change made to title and history. All uses of The World Calendar within the article use the three words with proper capitalism of the three words. Changing the title does nothing to improve that or add any clarity. Instead, it disrupts. I.E. REVERSE 29 December 2015 edits. ALI LAZURE (talk) 16:59, 8 March 2016 (UTC) ALI LAZURE

Hello, Jaksmata. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Greatest Tits, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
