Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Can you please keep your nonsensical claims about nature off talk pages please. We aren't a forum. IRWolfie- (talk) 07:52, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see it was already removed, and because of the publisher listed in the wikipedia entry and the content at nature dot com, it appeared there was no way that it could be the same scientific Journal Nature. However on closer inspection the NPG group is published by a Macmillan subsidiary, who evidently took over the once academic Journal Nature in 1997. Here in Oregon the University Science Library dropped their subscription in 1999, Now I know why.
But yes I wrong, it is "the Journal Nature" and I stand corrected, I just never would have thought it was the journal that stepped down as opposed to some pseudo site pretending to step up or otherwise masquerading as a scientific journal.

You are welcome to discuss the furlongs/kilometers debate on the relevant talkpage; should be fun. Tigerboy1966  21:22, 19 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use talk pages for inappropriate discussions. Last warning - article talk pages can only be used to directly discuss not the subject of the article but the article itself - sources, wording, material related to guidelines and policies, etc. Doug Weller (talk) 11:15, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the warning Doug! I obviously hit a nerve with you as you've gone through many of my comments on talk pages and removed them. I fully understand the mentality of people whom believe they are some sort of white knight and seek to abolish religion because they ignorantly see it as root cause behind much of the violence carried out by humans throughout history. I would invite to look a little bit deeper as what exactly is root of these worldly problems, because it really is not all that difficult to see that the problem is the male gender, and not religion. But I know how hard it is for us males to accept even the simplist, most basic of the self-evident truths. Be Well, mister Weller -Dirtclustit (talk) 04:48, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. You asked what "TW" means in the edit which created this section. That edit summary shows TW which is a link that can be clicked. It means that the editor (Doug Weller in this case) is one of the many who use the Twinkle gadget to help make certain kinds of edits. Regarding this talk page comment, please be aware that Wikipedia is a very widely read website, and it is common for people to attempt to post their views on various pages. Such posts are routinely removed because Wikipedia is not a forum. Johnuniq (talk) 06:02, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You Johnuniq, there was no question whatsoever for my edit violating Wikipedia policiy, there is no excuse for that and I should be banned from editing if I cannot refrain from such talk comments. It's a bad habit that I need to address. Thank you for taking the time to reiterate that to me. -Dirtclustit (talk) 06:09, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Graham, sorry about those edits you had to revert, I don't think all of them warranted reversion, but you probably just reverted all the edits from a single day, or maybe you did read through all of the edits you reverted and really do believe they were disruptive. I do have a bad habit of chosing the wrong words to communicate, so statistically the odds would favor that it's me, and not you. So I'll just accept the block, as in two of those reversions were warranted. I do however a question for you and I hope it isn't taken the wrong way, but I am curious about your edit of a posted image re:the tow truck, what exactly did you see or hear that made you believe the image could not have been what the posted intended?

Was it a software error or was that image not the original image posted?

hope your goes well Graham

Sincerely - Dirtclustit (talk) 16:55, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

request retracted, I am disruptive and should be just a reader for now -Dirtclustit (talk) 17:11, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
