Just FYI

[edit]

Hey,

Just so you know, I've just left a message on the talk page of one of your students, about an article (Gender-critical feminism) that they're editing for your class. I don't know if you've assigned the articles to the students, or if the students picked the articles themselves, but that specific article is one of the most contentious ones within the broader gender and sexuality content area. It's not a good article for a new editor to be learning the ropes on, as almost any edit they make will wind up being reverted by one or more of the regularly active editors on that article. I would suggest that you either assign that student to a different article, or let them pick a different article, as I'm worried that the highly contentious nature of the article might result in one or more editors asking for sanctions like a topic ban against the student.
