Good work on this one, have been wanting to do similar for a while but it's a tricky subject to wrangle together. I think your approach of dividing things up by decade and by state is a good one. I would be inclined to eventual merge Moderates (Liberal Party of Australia), Centre Right (Liberal Party of Australia), and National Right (Liberal Party of Australia) into your article – in my view their sourcing is inadequate and the editors maintaining them (often by randomly adding MPs) don't really seem to understand the historical background and are operating on the basis that these informal groups are equivalent to the formalised ALP factions. • Thank you ITBF! That draft's been a long time coming and still has a ways to go. Besides the complexity of the subject, sources can also be difficult to find and access. My intention was always for this draft to become an article that would absorb those three faction articles – aside from the issues you've pointed out, I consider them very recentist in their approach. For example, my research has indicated that the National Right has existed for at least two decades, possibly even longer, but its standalone article makes no attempt to cover its history further back than 2019. Unfortunately I can't give any sort of ETA for when I can finish that draft, and I'm not entirely optimistic that merger proposals would go through, but that's my plan at this stage. 5225_C (talk • contributions) 06:45, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how the fact that Hungary was McLaren's first 1-2 finish since 2021 is significant. It has only been 2 1/2 years, most teams have had a much longer gap than that. BMB YT 500000 (talk) 13:07, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

• It provides context to the reader that McLaren has not been regularly competitive and that the MCL38 is its most accomplished model in several years. If the article was listing things like the first 1–2 at the circuit since X season, or the first 1–2 in X races, or the first 1–2 in X days, and so on, then an argument would have to be made that this is excessive and unhelpful. But that's not the case; we need to strike a balance between staying on the core topic of the article and with providing an appropriate amount of context and background for the reader.     • It's precisely the fact that it's been 2.5 years that makes it significant: 2.5 years shows that this is not a common result, it's an exceptional one. The MCL60 scored no wins compared to the MCL38's two, nine podiums compared to eleven, zero poles compared to two, and 302 points compared to 338. And that's over the entire 22 race season rather than the thirteen races we've had so far in 2024.
