The use of this template is often if not usually inappropriate. The status of Hokan as a family is dubious at best, especially when referring to languages of southern Mexico where the evidence is scanty. (E.g., Tequistlatec language) babbage (talk) 20:10, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
