The last sentence in the article is out of context!

[edit]

The last sentence in this article " Meštrović's son Mate later became one of the most important figures in the movement for Croatian independence." is TOTALLY out of context. WHO CARES what the renegade son of Mestrovic was?! It is absolutelly NOT important to this article. It's much more important to mention the VALUABLE monuments and statues ALL AROUND The Yugoslavian Kingdom, that Ivan Mestrovic created, devoting his best work to his country - Yugoslavia. You were correct in saying that the last sentence was unnecessary, but you should read the newly referenced article that notes Ivan Meštrović's own stance as he had described it in 1955 - he was not entirely happy with how the work of the Yugoslav Committee had been transformed over the years, indeed, he was even partially in agreement with Supilo back in 1916 when the latter had decided to leave their cause. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 09:17, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
