ranks R&B and hip hop albums based on sales

Is that for sure? Whitney Houston's Whitney article says it was #1 on Billboard 200 for many weeks, but failed to make #1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It doesn't make any sense.
The best Billboard 200 position of that time's R&B #1's was Bigger and Deffer which was #3. What could be a reason for better R&B seller not to make the #1 in 200 also? There must (have) be(en) some different rules for R&B chart. 82.141.95.68 (talk) 05:24, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to Billboard's website Whitney Houston's debut album peaked at #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart 6/22/1985. -Richard Hendricks (talk) 18:11, 27 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Top R&B Albums Category: Artists with the most number-one albums

[edit]

I feel that there should be a category for R&B Artist and Albums. Like it is for Rap Artist and Albums. 2603:6000:AC00:1E2:7CB0:6395:9D97:C7A (talk) 02:10, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are many RnB Artists with multiple albums that have gone #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. And those artist also have multiple week's on the chart. 2603:6000:AC00:1E2:7CB0:6395:9D97:C7A (talk) 02:23, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
