280 Horsepower EJ22T with Dual Overhead Cams? BS!!!!!! Not From Subaru Anyway!

[edit]

When did Subaru EVER release a 280 horsepower version of the EJ22T? I've never heard of a factory DOHC version of the EJ22 engine... EVER. Nevermind the page claims that this mythical DOHC 2.2L turbocharged engine ran 280 HP, which is almost 30 HP more than the modern EJ25 (2.5L) DOHC turbocharged engine used in even the newest of Legacy GT's. There is also no mention of this engine in the text anywhere. I think someone out there built themselves an EJ22T with EJ25 DOHC heads with 280 HP for some crazy drag car and thinks its relevant to this page. Sorry, I'm gonna have to call BS on this one guys. Subaru never released a DOHC version of the EJ22, especially not with 280 horsepower. Find me proof, pictures, evidence then I'll buy it, until then take this crap off this page please. I would do it but I want to see if anyone else catches on to this first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.250.179 (talk) 02:00, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Manual GX with air-suspension

[edit]

From Australia, have owned a '91 Liberty GX wagon, 2.2L non-turbo with 5-speed manual. It had factory air-suspension, & cruise control. The article here says that only the automatic had air-suspension. Didn't see cruise control listed for manual so I just thought I'd mention it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.10.84.213 (talk) 09:54, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Subaru Legacy "Tuned by STI" ej22g "controversy"

[edit]

You can see from the original brochure the "STI" Legacy has a 2.0L DOHC engine with 220ps. NOT an ej22g as previously mentioned. http://a15ff11300g.sakura.ne.jp/catalogue/BCBFlegacy/1992.08%20legacy%20touringwagon%20STI/1992.08%20legacy%20touringwagon%20STI.html. Look under 'specifications' for more information: 1994cc, 8.5 compression ratio. Here is the listing for scanned 1st generation Legacy brocures: http://a15ff11300g.sakura.ne.jp/catalogue/BCBFlegacy/BCBFlegacy.html Shows JDM models with both 3 and 4-spoke MOMO steering wheels, contradicting the wiki page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:8:8C00:17E:758B:C597:AF08:E562 (talk) 05:30, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy 1.8 4wd automatic

[edit]

The gearbox would kick down from 4th to 3rd at about 2/3rds throttle so that on the motorway at 70 mph it would be in 3rd! Why kick down in 4th?

It also had quite poor fuel consuption of around 25mpg. The brakes with no ABS were very poor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.21.15.48 (talk) 16:21, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
