Madeira-Mamoré Railway

No mention of it here, although it has an extensive article in the Portuguese Wikipedia as well as entries in the German, Spanish and French Wikipedias. If no one objects, I shall add it in the appropriate sections.170.149.100.10 (talk) 21:25, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gauge Conversion

All 1600 Irish gauge lines got proposed to convert to 1435 standard gauge.

Existing gauges are [1]

  • 1,600 millimetres (5 ft 3 in) 5822km
  • 1,435 millimetres (4 ft 8.5 in) 194km
  • 1,000 millimetres (3 ft 3 in) 23342km

Note that adjacent Argentina and Chile uses a different broad gauge:

  • 1,676 millimetres (5 ft 6.0 in)

New line

Is the new proposed heavy duty line for agricultural purposes the Ferrogrão Railway ? This rail line will also connect large (broad) gauge railways to the north and the south. ----MountVic127 (talk) 08:11, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
