Acredito que sim, or the Spanish equivalent Creo que sí, seem to work exactly as the English word "so" ("I think so") (which makes sense since ultimately the Latin word "sic," the root of both, meant "so")

Except that "so" cannot be preceded by "that", and so perhaps it can be seen as an adverb modifying "believe". Velho (talk) 00:46, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
