Book cover - non-fair use?

[edit]

As I understand it, the book cover can be used to illustrate an article about the book. This is an article about the author, which gives one quote of a review of the book to establish notability The rest is just from his webpage.Chemical Engineer (talk) 22:01, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A page on an artist might well include a thumbnail of the artist's work, and this case is similar. For now, however, I think the article is too short to sensibly put the book cover under "Works". It is visually interesting though, and IMO enhances the article. While it may be copyrighted, I believe it qualifies as "fair use".

Also, the article paraphrases an institutional bio of the subject (with a reference), not "his own webpage". Walkinxyz (talk) 03:03, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for sharing your understanding, CE. The article is indeed incomplete, that's why it's a stub. I am working to expand it, including a longer discussion of Kompridis' books (such as his edited collection of essays on Romanticism, by other notable philosophers). Nationality

[edit]

Kompridis has asked that his nationality be represented here, accurately, as Canadian. Walkinxyz (talk) 05:08, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
