How to do refs

[edit]

I have supplied a couple of references, but maybe I haven't done this correctly.--Robcuny 20:15, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do I add references? I have no trouble with reference format, I just can't find a function icon and I'm not sure I'm using the right codes. --Robcuny 20:15, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They look fine to me. You can get help at WP:FN. --ST47Talk 20:57, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If my citations and references look okay, why has Wikipedia prefixed the article with the boxed "This article does not cite any references or sources"? I've included two reputable references, both published books, completely documented in appropriate format. Am I missing something? Since citations are so important, is there an icon somewhere for creating them or easier-to-find help for installing them? I feel as if I must have overlooked something obvious here -- as if it must be right in front of me somewhere but I'm just not seeing it. --Robcuny 19:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember? I put that tag up back when there weren't any references. Now that you've added references, feel free to take the maintenance tag down. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:38, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Verify

[edit]

This statement - "They give an impression of opulence which belies their purpose, location and their inhabitants; many were built in the ghetto to make money on the housing of largely impoverished immigrants by packing several families into small apartments.[2]" Is not only not correct, but referencing old law, not new law, tenements. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.32.100 (talk) 22:10, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
