MTA Long Island Bus →MTA Bus Company

[edit]

A lot of rumors are spreading around that MTA Bus will absorb LIB on November 1st. Pacific Coast Highway {talkcontribs} 21:25, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the fact that they've merged all the MTA Railroad Police Departments into one, and have considere merging the Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North, Staten Island Railway, etc. into one huge MTA Railroad system, somehow it doesn't surprise me that they'd try this. ----DanTD 03:45, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Run on sentence

[edit]

Seriously, the first sentence in "History" doesn't even have a proper ending given the beginning of it. Not that I should be the one talking about grammatically correct sentences. 72.89.252.168 (talk) 06:08, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lower-case "n" vs. upper-case "N"

[edit]

The schedules released by NICE prior to the transfer use a lower-case "n" as the county identifying suffix as opposed to a upper-case "N". However, this is not reflected on the buses themselves. While NICE may choose to use "n" instead of "N" on the schedules, this should not be taken literally in the articles. Because "N" still appears on the buses, and to keep the NICE-related articles in line with the rest of the NYC regional bus services, the upper-case "N" should be retained. Bus totals

[edit]

Is it really necessary to distinguish if buses are in the process of being retired. Isn't the discrepancy between the total number and active number give that away? MTA3010 (talk) 01:48, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
