Information through latest issue or latest trade?

[edit]

I read through this page (foolishly!) because the note at the top said the information only went through issue #74. I've been collecting the trades, and now I've spoiled a few surprises for myself since there's actually info here up through #79. Personally, I'd rather see the latest trade be the cut-off, but I don't know what the precedent is. Also, my preference aside, it's probably more feasible to keep the info current to the latest issue and not have to police for spoilers. It is important that the issue listed at the top be kept up to date, though, please! To save others from my mistake! wasserperson 19:47, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion in the main article

[edit]

why is this not included under the 100 bullets article ?? Sunburst 20:29, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Because this, as well as the list of issues took up roughly 2/3's of the article. These sections were removed and given articles of their own due to length.Toffile 15:18, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

copyvio? (resolved)

[edit]

Many of the character descriptions here appear to have originated from http://www.100bullets.sevenpennynightmare.co.uk/characters/characters.htm

(Whoever was responsible for the original entries,) please resolve this issue with site owners. Slymole 9 January 2005
The issue has been resolved; moose, the owner of 100Bullets.co.uk and author of the original text has explicitly granted copy permission for WP in the site's forum's, as long as due credit is given. However, it's probably better for maintenance purposes to produce original work from now on. I'll try to keep the article up to date as new issues are released, since it's currently from a recent events POV, but it'll definitely need some restructuring once the series draws to a close by issue 100. Vote on the removal of "Who is the seventh?"

[edit]

I'd like to propose we remove this information from the page. The reason being its redundent, we now know who the Seventh is and the entry just speculates on who it is. I'll give it 2 days before removing it to let anyone voice their opinions. Jedispyder 20:55, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merges

[edit]

Shouldn't Agent Graves page be merged into this one? --zandperl 01:33, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification: Graves appears to be the only individual character page. --zandperl 01:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Correction, Graves and Mr. Shepherd both have individual pages, but I htink that should also be merged into this as it's practically a stub. --zandperl 02:32, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Merge--insufficient information available on character to warrant an entire article. Konczewski (talk) 04:51, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Nagel.jpg

[edit]

Image:Nagel.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Mr. Shepherd

[edit]

I've added information about Mr. Shepherd's homosexuality to his section. The theme of homosexuality is woven throughout the story an this character detail is fundamental to the character and drives his motivations. He is closeted but deals with both closeted and out homosexuals. He avenges the severe beating of a gay friend (possibly lover). It is implied that he was discharged from the military for homosexual acts and that he protected closeted ranked officers which, along with his ability to get away with murder, is what piques Graves' interest in him. He has a preference for black men, which is why he hung at jazz clubs even though he didn't like jazz. His interaction with a rival jock at a party implies that the jock, now into black militancy, was closeted and that he and Shepherd had a relationship.

Furthermore, homosexual characters in comic books are still a rarity, making this character trait very notable.

In light of the above information, keeping this character detail out of the section has no rational basis.

Last point, and I've this separately because it is just my speculation. The name of the story is 'Tarantula'. Here is what I found in a page on animal symbolism' for tarantulas:

Tarantula - Ability to Shed the Outer Skin (Masks) and Transform, Creativity, Spinning a Web to Entrap Enemies, Defense of Territory, Intimidation by Size, Use of Environment to Conceal Oneself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Onemachete (talkcontribs) 13:08, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
