It should be called as Home Alone 6. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.222.83.87 (talk) 17:56, 5 December 2020 (UTC) Alright, this film has a lot to talk about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.15.53.78 (talk) 13:40, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not a "reboot", but a sequel?

[edit]

If Macaulay Culkin is appearing as Kevin McCallister in a cameo, then won't this technically be a sequel and not a reboot? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:1A8A:D058:A0D2:D9E2:D593:3C5D (talk) 19:42, 25 June 2021 (UTC) That is wrong, yo. You made the wrong statement. It is a reboot, and not just some stupid old sequel. Which, don't get me wrong, I love the whole franchise, but as a Pastor's son, it all comes down to this, it's whole franchise if funny with booby traps, but also conflicts enough, to actually be able to watch it all, and to watch it all tonight, or tomorrow. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.15.53.78 (talk) 13:44, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not refer to the film either as a sequel or a reboot, so this conversation is off-topic. WaggersTALK 13:56, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The first 20th Century Studios film for Disney+

[edit]

I'm tagging[1] "the first 20th Century Studios film to be produced for the streaming service" for a few reasons. 20th Century Studios isn't mentioned in the Production section, and while the sources mention it, none of them call this film "the first" by the studio to be produced for Disney+, only that it's one of several planned projects. We can deduce it's the first, but that would be original research. Also, from the 20th Century Studios article (which I also tagged):

The first of these projects was Home Sweet Home Alone, which was released on November 12, 2021, and it became the only film released by 20th Century Fox on Disney+, as subsequent projects were transferred over to Walt Disney Pictures.

Based on that, it would be just as accurate to write in the lead "the only 20th Century Studios film to be produced for the streaming service." 70.163.208.142 (talk) 15:30, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You admit the sources in the article already support the statement, but your problem is that it could just as easily support another claim. The tag {{citation needed}} is not the right tag. The tag {{dubious}} also exists. You can argue that the statement is WP:UNDUE and remove it from the lead section entirely for that reason instead, but please don't use the {{citation needed}} for information that does already have citations, using the wrong tag is a wastes of other editors time. -- 109.79.175.194 (talk) 20:08, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't admit any source supports the statement "the first". {{citation needed}} is appropriate. 70.163.208.142 (talk) 20:23, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll revert myself, it's a bit pedantic; my point was it's not explicitly called "first" by any source. It's brought up in the lead, not mentioned in the body, and supported by sources only through implication. 70.163.208.142 (talk) 00:57, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
