Definition: fresco - fresco-secco - secco

[edit]

In my opinion the differences between the wall painting techniques fresco and fresco secco have to be reconsidered. For me a fresco is painted on a fresh, wet plaster, a secco on a dry plaster. Then there are some "mixed techniques" in which the painter started in fresco technique, but finished in secco technique. I think the information of the existing possibility of a mixed technique should be included in both articles and the article fresco secco should be called secco. What does everybody else think about that? --Greenadia06 (talk) 09:50, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I forgot to say that for me a fresco-secco is a painting on a dry plaster, but on a wet limewash. What do you think? --Greenadia06 (talk) 10:22, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
