This page needs

I do think this is a useful page.--Boscobiscotti 04:21, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The table of contents is added automatically when the article contains three or more sections. It can be forced (by somethingh like __TOC__ I think, but I am not convinced this is so needed here. As for the other two points, I agree with the need for more context, but I do not think that having repeated information on different articles is necessarily a problem. The Link to Ethernet auto-sensing and auto-negotiating does not work anymore. I have updated the link. 10:13, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

I believe this is a useful page. However, when I saw a duplex mismatch, the full-duplex side (Cisco 6509) reported CRC errors and giants, not runts. Can an expert confirm it's also possible? --195.160.149.37 (talk) 07:23, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The source :: Jim Eggers and Steve Hodnett (July 2004). "Ethernet Autonegotiation Best Practices". Sun Microsystems. :: is so erroneous. Autoneg on twisted pair performs under the PMD and by this differs much from Autoneg on fiber, but the authors didn't see that therefore the result is theirs fantasy, not the real and/or Standard. There is the need to eliminate the source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.232.61.94 (talk) 14:53, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
