This is not a single..

[edit]

Source states that it's release was scrapped: http://hiphop-n-more.com/2018/07/drake-dont-matter-to-me-scrapped-as-single-in-favor-of-in-my-feelings/ Then re-iterated with the announcement of Nonstop as a single: http://hiphop-n-more.com/2018/07/drake-nonstop-next-single-from-scorpion/

It was removed from US radio listings. From July 3rd: https://web.archive.org/web/20180703214611/https://www.allaccess.com/top40-rhythmic/future-releases From July 9th (day before release): https://web.archive.org/web/20180709204611/https://www.allaccess.com/top40-rhythmic/future-releases

Removed from playlists in the UK. July 6th: https://web.archive.org/web/20180709213820/https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist Can currently see the label is pushing "In My Feelings" instead: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist

108.6.192.87, "Don't Matter to Me" was a shortly promoted single in the United Kingdom. Just because it received a short promotional phase does not mean that its release was cancelled in that country. If it was a cancelled single then a radio release would have not occurred. Many previously released singles by artists have had this sort of situation occur to them, "Bon Appétit" by Katy Perry for example was briefly promoted as single until Capitol Records decided to push "Swish Swish" as a single instead due to it failing to make much impact. You are correct in that its US release was cancelled but just because it wasn't released as a single in that country does not mean that its radio release did not occur anywhere else. "Bon Appetit" was a standalone digital single - completely different. Swish Swish just came out shortly after in the way that Nonstop is coming right after "In My Feelings". Completely different from "Don't Matter to Me" being removed from the playlist in favor of "In My Feelings", which exactly what the article states : it's release cancelled so the label could focus solely on IMF. --108.6.192.87 (talk) 20:55, 1 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

108.6.192.87, the sources that you mentioned are all from one website and are referring to its cancellation in the United States. In the first source, it is discussing the cancelled Rhythmic radio release of "Don't Matter to Me" in the United States. Which as you can see here in a prior article released by them: http://hiphop-n-more.com/2018/07/drake-picks-dont-matter-to-me-in-my-feeling-as-next-singles-from-scorpion/ Is the radio release they are discussing, they don't make any mention of any other radio releases that occurred worldwide. (Like the one that occurred in the UK on the 6th) In the second source, they say that "It is set to go for adds on radio stations countrywide", which unless the definition of 'countrywide' has been changed, means that "Nonstop" is not getting a radio push worldwide, and is only getting pushed in the US. The phrase also proves that your source is only talking its cancellation in the United States. Also a song being pulled from a BBC Playlist shortly after its radio release has occurred does not mean that its release was cancelled. If the label cancelled the radio release for 'Don't Matter to Me" then it would have been removed from the Playlists before July 6th. DovahDuck (talk) 21:32, 1 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
108.6.192.87, as you can see in this archived link: https://web.archive.org/web/20180721110726/http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist The song was still being pushed heavily by the BBC playlists for more than two weeks after its initial release. With it also being pushed alongside "In My Feelings" for a while. This essentially makes your whole argument about its UK radio cancellation invalid due to plenty of singles being removed the playlists after a similar time span. Tell me, why would a cancelled single be continuously pushed by the label on the playlists for more than two weeks? I think the answer is pretty be clear... @Ged UK: I know there was an edit war, but we can change protection level to semi-protection, because we need to add something more (UK certification) into the article. ---- BrandNew Jim Zhang (talk) 05:34, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
