Suggested change to Recordings

[edit]

Robin Gibb did not record the Mancini and Mercer "Days of Wine and Roses".  His song was written by Robin Gibb and Peter-John Vettese. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.114.106.11 (talk) 19:07, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Change to introduction

[edit]

I removed "The melody is vaguely based on 'Auld Lang Syne' ". I cannot hear it, nor find any reference to its being derived from Auld Lang Syne. If someone has such a reference put it in here. I altered the other sentence because it made it sound like there are only two phrases in this song, while in fact it is sung as six:

The days of wine ... child at play

Through ... closing door

A door ... there before

The lonely ... with memories

Of the ... me to

The days ... you

Song of the Year 1964

[edit]

The body of the article does not mention the song won a Grammy in 1964. The lists below "References" can be expanded to discover this.

I suspect this fact is worthy of inclusion in the main part of the article. The Wikipedia list of winners links to this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.243.1.164 (talk) 03:42, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
