I think that someone should check out if the Cal Thomas that is linked as her ex-boyfriend is really the right person. He is more than old enough to be her father, and it seems unlikley that it is the same person. Should the link at least be removed pending investigation?

Trivia

[edit]

This is an encyclopedia, and we do not collect "trivia". Incorporate anything encyclopedic into the article, but by definition things that are "trivial" are not to be included. - brenneman{L} 06:07, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I happen to disagree. Would you be willing to point me to the page in Wikipedia where it says trivial information isn't allowed? Some of the trivial information is important, like what her real name is. --Doomstars 06:49, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia can always be useful to someone, as long as it's accurate. I don't think there's anything wrong with including it as a rule. Temporal Dissonance 21:01 (EST) 2 May 2006

Well, I'd specifically move the trivia about her real middle name to the biography section, but I can't find any sources about it, so I'm holding off any changes pending further research. FrozenPurpleCube 02:59, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom Hearts II?

[edit]

There seems to be some question as to whether Christy Carlson Romano or Mae Whitman did the voice of Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts II. Every source I've checked except Wikipedia itself says Romano (including IMDB, though I have no idea how reliable it actually is, since I've heard content is user-submitted), but another editor says it's Whitman. Anyone know the truth? 68.228.75.254 04:37, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not Christy. People didn't even bother to beat the game and assume that Christy voices Yuffie again, because she voiced her in KH1. It states that Mae Whitman is indeed the voice of Yuffie in KH2, according to the credits. Some people are too ignorant to believe what the actual game says and insists that Christy is the voice. How idiotic. NeoSeifer

That's why it is a bit strange when i heard yuffie's voice. It's not like Christy. I can tell the difference because I watch Kim Possible everyday. W.Tanoto

CD page merge

[edit]

I agree that the CD page should be merged into the primary Romano page. Temporal Dissonance 20:59 (EST) 2 May 2006

Live Chat

[edit]

Could I have a link to a transcript of that live chat where she said she's never actually seen Dave The Barbarian. I'm just interested in it

People who saw her on Broadway

[edit]

The article currently says:

Romano finished a 31 week run of playing Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway on September 12, 2004. An estimated 20,000 people saw her in this role.[citation needed]

In this case, I think that the "estimated 20,000 people" is far too low. The seating capacity of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, where Beauty and the Beast is playing, is 1,475 [1]. A typical Broadway schedule is 8 shows a week, but let's say that Romano only performed 6 of those shows and had an understudy for the other two (I don't know that this is the case, but sometimes lead performers do this). That would be 186 shows in a 1,475-seat theater. If only 20,000 people attended during her run, that would be about 7% of capacity. No Broadway show would operate for months at 7% of capacity; 20,000 people is way too low. If someone could look in Variety magazine for the period Romano was in Beauty and the Beast, they would find the actual weekly attendance for each week she was in the show, and we would be much closer to an accurate number of people who saw her there. --Metropolitan90 03:48, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I see from this diff that the article previously said 400,000 people saw her in the role, and somebody changed it to 20,000. But 400,000 would be too high, because even if she played all 8 shows each week for 31 weeks, and every performance was a sellout of all 1,475 seats, that would still only allow 365,800 people to see her in the show. --Metropolitan90 03:52, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
what was the original source? Jumping cheese Contact 03:55, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
An anonymous contributor inserted the claim of 400,000 people seeing Christy in Beauty and the Beast on September 22, 2004. [2] --Metropolitan90 04:10, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I found this on broadwayworld.com, which indicates that Romano had an "eight-month run" on the Beauty and the Beast. Unfortunately, it does not include how many people saw her in the role of Belle. =) Jumping cheese Contact 04:25, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think she's got a new boyfriend

[edit]

She's one of my "friends" on me Myspace and looking at her picturess she posted this one with her and this black-skinned man [3]. Now they could just be very good friends HOWEVER look at the man's arm, its around her waist and she doesn't seem to mind (in fact she has her arm around him too). So can anyone confirm whether or not she's got a new boyfriend? User:AKR619

Huh..."black-skinned man"?!? You mean a black dude, right? Anyways, I think I recognize the guy...a singer or actor (I want to say the name, but I can't be sure). You're reading way to much into a friendly pose for the cameras. Jumping cheese Cont@ct 08:07, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Christy has a new boyfriend. His name is Griff Furst. He is the son of actor Stephen Fiurst (ANIMAL HOUSE) and is a burgeouning director. The two live together and have been with each other for almost a year.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.125.216.13 (talkcontribs)

Can you provide a source? Thanxs. =) Jumping cheese Cont@ct 08:37, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I would also like you to provide a source and I suggest you do it soon it'll seem like your name's Griff Furst and a complete loser making up stories about you shacking up with hot celebrities. User:AKR619

Never mind User:AKR619

[edit]

Apparently there are still people who think that she and Ray Romano are related, which most people who know of her realize isn't true. Does anybody have a link with evidence of this? ---- DanTD 02:19, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Surgical "Enhancements"?

[edit]

Seriously, her chest went from nothing to everything practically overnight. 72.255.30.116 (talk) 02:42, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seems so, doesn't it? In fact, when she's wearing a revealing top, you can see the "canyon" between her breasts that's common among women with implants. 128.104.50.17 (talk) 15:37, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you realize that women can be "late bloomers" and can go from nothing to a lot of something in no time right? My cousin did that. In 6 months she went from flat as a board to a 36D. Trust me Christy is all natural. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.7.201.91 (talk) 07:43, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, judging from her nude shower scene in the direct-to-DVD movie, Mirrors 2 the question should be settled. If her breasts were "all natural," they'd move around a bit more than two pieces of granite. 128.104.48.64 (talk) 23:41, 17 December 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.104.49.39 (talk) [reply]

Other relations

[edit]

Is there any evidence that Christy has any relation to voice director Andrea Romano, or is it just another coincidence based on their common name? Nutster (talk) 12:03, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's not how this works. Most claims made in Wikipedia articles must be supported by citations to reliable sources; for privacy reasons, birth dates must have citations showing that they have been "widely published by reliable sources[] or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object" to publication. Sometime before KIM POSSIBLE began,Romano co-starred in Agatha Christie's play SPIDER'S WEB at the Westport,Connecticut Country Playhouse.

I was there,I saw it.this credit is not mentioned anywhere in your official Biography, and it should be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.23.5.11 (talk) 18:40, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will be adding this information today.I dug up the old program of the show, which was a 3-city summer stock tour.
I also got a rather flowery autograph from Ms.Romano to boot. 198.23.5.11 (talk) 13:07, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
