Fair use rationale for Image:Allah made me funny.jpeg

[edit]

Image:Allah made me funny.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reliable sources

[edit]

I cleaned up the "External links" section to fit with our guidelines and there were some reliable sources in there which could help if anybody wants to add content to this article as they can be cited in the References section. I've listen them below.

Incorrect Quote

[edit]

I removed a quote Azar supposedly said, which was "his sole goal, through comedy, is to promote better understanding of Islam and Muslims.". The citing reference was a transcript from This ABC Australia National Radio show. No where in that article can the given quote be found, the closest thing to it was:

I mean this is recorded in our tradition and it's sound, authentic, preserved tradition about specific jokes that he made about how he laughed, incidents upon which he would laugh, and even those incidents when he laughed more than he did regularly, because he was known as being such a jovial prophet, he was always smiling, and they say that the prophet was always laughing, and laughing in his case meant smiling, but on occasion he would even laugh to such a degree that his rear molars could be seen, which obviously means he was really laughing. Again, it's a lost part of our tradition, so I think that it's wonderful to study it and learn about it, and one of my goals is to actually bring that out, and I'm hoping to perhaps in the next one to two years, put together some literature about this subject.

This was deemed incorrect for a radio interview given by him January, 09, 2010 on Minnesota Public Radio's show "All Things Considered" in which the host asks him about this quote on Wikipedia and he says:

I don't know where that quote came from because I never said that. That's a testament to wikipedia being a useless and unreliable resource.

Skip to the 7:30 mark to hear the excerpt.

Career section

[edit]

I just removed the sentence "He has performed in over a twenty countries on five continents" which is a repeat from the first paragraph. This entire section could use some editing, but I'm not familiar enough with the topic. Shmuel A. Kam (talk) 09:58, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
