I feel the link to the forum I perviously mentioned should be there as the forum features questions answered by Andrew Schofield, these provide a further insight into his work and him as you find out more about his career and also private life.

I am not affilated with this forum in anyway, I am just a fan of this actor and find the forum an invaluable source of information as there are many photos as well as the questions and answers.

This is the official forum for Andrew Schofield and he provides assistance with it.

Kirkby is Not in Liverpool

[edit]

Kirkby is not in Liverpool it is in Knowsley will user who keeps adding references to Liverpool and removing them from Knowsley please stop.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 17:45, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't matter where it is today. In 1947, Kirkby was purchased by the Liverpool Corporation and became part of Liverpool. Knowsley didn't even exist until 1974, when Mr. Schofield was 19 years old. When he was born in 1958, Kirkby was part of Liverpool and it continued to be so until his adult years, so of course he should be considered to be from Liverpool. That would be like saying that Julius Caesar was born in Italy, not Rome. -- Atama 17:55, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Kirkby was not in Liverpool then either it was in Kirkby Urban District, it has never been part of Liverpool.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 18:13, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I can understand why someone would insist on not saying "Schofield was born in Kirkby, Knowsley"; back then, Knowsley was a civil parish in the rural district of Whiston (rather than Liverpool). It's anachronistic. There's no policy or guideline about how to deal with describing the birthplace of someone born in England before 1974. I think simply stating Kirkby at the moment works. Nev1 (talk) 18:23, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you. However it looks like the Whiston Rural District, Kirkby Urban District and Kirkby articles conflict on historic administrative responsibility.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 18:28, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Brilliant. VisionofBritain should have some details, but failing that, Lozleader (talk · contribs) might be able to help. Nev1 (talk) 18:32, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

is it just me or does that section seem... unnecessarily stalker-ish, and unrelated to the article? 128.61.45.136 (talk) 19:13, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There was a separate article, but it was deleted (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jessica Schofield). There were suggestions to merge, although this was not done; maybe this was why the section was added here. No sources were cited, and it probably doesn't belong in this article, so I've removed the section. snigbrook (talk) 22:58, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
