File:Flag of Dayton, Ohio.gif Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Flag of Dayton, Ohio.gif, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2008 United States House of Representatives elections in Ohio's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "results":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 20:35, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced

[edit]

@Ohaiyoan124: are you able to provide references for the election results you've added to this article? You've used a reference named "results" in all of them, but that is not defined here. -- Mikeblas (talk) 01:44, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

All I did was update all of the election results to more current infoboxes with the infoboxes before not using any references, but I can add references. Ohaiyoan124 (talk) 05:57, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
