Subramanya Matha

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Subramanya Matha or Sri Samputa Narasimha Matha is a Matha of the Shivalli Madhva tradition based in Kukke Subramanya in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India.[1] It has several branches, including one at Mumbai.[2] The Subramanya Matha at Kukke offers sevās including Sarpa Samksara, Naga Pratiste and Aslesha Bali which has been cause of friction with the nearby Kukke Subramanya Temple.[3] As of 2025 the Subramanya Matha is headed by Shri Vidyaprasanna Tirtha swamiji,[4] with the previous pontiff Vidyabhushana retiring to become full time devotional singer.
