The DAF XF is a range of semi trucks produced since 1997 by DAF Trucks.[1] The XF 105 won the International Truck of the Year 2007 award.[2] The truck features a 10.8 or 12.9 litre (PACCAR MX 11 or 13) engine and ZF AS Tronic or ZF Traxon gearbox in both manual and automatic formats.

DAF XG[edit]

Starting with the 2021 generation, the larger cab variants of the XF are named XG and XG+.[3][4]

Special edition[edit]

  • The DAF XF 90th Anniversary Edition (2018) was a celebratory limited edition of the DAF XF released to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 1928 establishment of the DAF company by Hub van Doorne. Only 250 examples of the 6×2 XF were also allocated to the UK market. Changes included three attractive metallic anniversary colors: Anniversary Black, Rouge Flamme and Jamaica Blue, while the strips are colored in either blue or red on the grill, and the handcrafted, vintage DAF logo is displayed. In the Exclusive trim of the limited edition, it features fully leather and air-sprung seats, leather armrests and door panels and a leather finish of the steering wheel, DAF’s classic logo is also applied to the deco strips on the doors, on the Driver Information Panel and the high-end Kenwood radio-navigation system in place of the original unit.

Military use[edit]

The Canadian Forces Land Force Command uses the XF95 Tropco Tractor for their tank transport platform leased from the Dutch Army.
