Campistrous is a commune in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in south-western France.

Geography

The Petite Baïse forms part of the commune's north-eastern border.

Climate

Campistrous has an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb). The average annual temperature in Campistrous is 11.9 °C (53.4 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,140.4 mm (44.90 in) with May as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in August, at around 19.3 °C (66.7 °F), and lowest in January, at around 5.3 °C (41.5 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Campistrous was 37.5 °C (99.5 °F) on 20 July 1989; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −12.9 °C (8.8 °F) on 8 February 2012.
