Production

[edit]

The film marked the directorial debut of M. A. Kennedy, previously an assistant to Agathiyan and earlier wrote scripts for films like Pistha (1997) and Minsara Kanna (1999). The film introduced Kasi Vishwa as cinematographer who earlier assisted N. K. Viswanathan.[2] The film was entirely shot in Ooty and the release of the film had been delayed.[3][4] Meera Vasudevan had incidental charges at the hotel, and the film team cut it off from her salary causing her to not show up for her last schedule.[5]
