Delicious in Dungeon (ダンジョン飯, Danjon Meshi, lit. Dungeon Food) is the anime adaptation of Ryoko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon, animated by Studio Trigger.

Its first season was announced for a 24-episode run and premiered on January 4, 2024.

Plot[]

Dungeon food.　It's "eat" or "be eaten"...
Laios and his party of adventurers were attacked by a Red Dragon deep in a dungeon and lost their money and food. Even if I try to challenge the dungeon again, if I continue like this, I will starve to death on the way...... So Laios makes a decision. “Yeah, let’s eat monsters!” Slimes, basilisks, mimics and dragons! Aim to overcome the dungeon while eating the monsters that attack you, adventurers!^[1]

Studio TRIGGER has previously worked on a promotional ad for the release of Delicious in Dungeon Volume 8.
The anime adaptation was announced through the wraparound jacket band on the 12th volume of Delicious in Dungeon released on August 10th, 2022.^[6]
- It was also announced in tweets by the Dungeon Meshi Anime Twitter account as well as the Studio TRIGGER Twitter account.^[7]^[8]
The first episode premiered at Anime Expo 2023 with Laios and Marcille's Japanese voice actors present.^[9]
