Dungeon food. It's "eat" or "be eaten"...
Laios and his party of adventurers were attacked by a Red Dragon deep in a dungeon and lost their money and food. Even if I try to challenge the dungeon again, if I continue like this, I will starve to death on the way...... Staff Comments

All the staff are working hard to create it. Thank you for your support of the anime “Dungeon Meshi”!  !
— Yoshihiro Miyajima (Director)

When creating the anime, we considered the structure of the story so as not to destroy the worldview of the original work. I tried to capture the excitement and excitement I felt when I read the original work for the first time in the script. Both those who are already fans of "Dungeon Meshi" and those who have not yet read the original work, Travel through the labyrinth with Laios and enjoy fantastic gourmet food.
— Kimiko Ueno (Series Composition)

I'm very happy to be in charge of character design for my favorite work! The fun I felt when I read the original work for the first time and the lively interactions between Raios and his friends. As the chief animation director, I will do my best to carefully pick things up!
— Naoki Takeda (Character Design)

As you can see from the PV, the musical theme of this work is "medieval early music." "Medieval early music" is the music that was played in Europe before the 15th century (before the Renaissance period). It is said that ancient musical instruments are the ancestors of modern musical instruments. Currently, there are few people who can play, and the instruments themselves are difficult to obtain.
It is very difficult to combine this kind of music with modern music, We want everyone to listen to the music unique to "Dungeon Meshi", I composed the song through trial and error. I hope you can enjoy the very unique sounds along with the anime.
— Yasunori Mitsuda (Music)

Cast Comments

I'm Kentaro Kumagai and I voice the role of Laios. I feel extremely grateful, honored and humbled being able to be part of the Delicious in Dungeon's anime adaptation. The whole cast has truly come together, earnestly having as great time while recording out lines on empty stomachs. We hole you enjoy it!
— Kentaro Kumagai (Laios)

I'm Sayaka Sembongi, the voice of Marcille. I can't believe we are finally getting an anime adaptation after the manga has been trending ever since the start of its serialization! I love Kui-sensei's original manga, it's exciting, interesting and overflows with adorableness! Everyone involved treats the original work with the utmost respect. It's pure bliss being able to explore "the world of Delicious in Dungeon" as Marcille. I want ti make sure to always navigate it with my love for the seires in mind. Please look forward to "Delicious in Dungeon"!
— Sayaka Sembongi (Marcille)

FINALLY! It's here! The LONG AWAITED anime adaptation of "Delicious in Dungeon"! Yaay!!! Being able to play Chilchuck along a team who truly loves this series makes me so happy!! Now, I know it's bad manners, but for someone like me who likes to read while i eat, "Delicious in Dungeon" is truly the best companion. Because of this habit, now no matter how much i eat, i still get hungry during recordings. Next my stomach will for sure start growling while watching the show airing on TV... SO everyone! Let's all eat while watching "Delicious in Dungeon"!
— Asuna Tomari (Chilchuck)

Delicious in Dungeon's anime adaptation! I hope this series becomes something all kinds of people with diverse interest will be able to enjoy. People may have different tasters when it comes to food, but I think it's all about the ingredients and how they are cooked. In order to live, we need to eat. When we eat, we are invigorated and thus able to recover our strength! Having food is a blessing! Let's get rid of our aversions to food and try out everything without fear~ It will surely lead us to new discoveries.
— Hiroshi Naka (Senshi)

Since reading the "Delicious in Dungeon" manga, I've been completely drawn in by its uniquely serious yet comedic and heartwarming rhythm, so I'm happy to be able to take part in it as Falin. Liker her brother Laios, Falin is curios, kind-hearted and gentle. Though there may he many surprising twists in the story, I'm giving it my all while having fun voicing her. Even the recording sessions are filled with the love for the series of everyone involved. Please enjoy the world of "Delicious in Dungeon" while eating delicious food!
— Saori Hayami (Falin)

I'm Akira Miki, the voice of Namari. The manga has reached its immensely satisfying last episode, but it's finally time for the long-awaited anime adaptation! I'm very happy to be able to relive the story as Namari, in a production that holds great respect towards the original manga, paying great care and attention to it. Personally, I'm very fond of the cute Mandrakes in the hotpot from the second key visual and how they seem to be pleasantly relaxing in a hot spring. Speaking of pleasant things, I've been secretly enjoying the "Delicious in Dungeon Shibuya" collaboration, so if there's anything similar in the future I'm excited to enjoy it together with you!... Or so I smile to myself. Having said that, while taking care of my health, I loo forward to watching the anime with a drink in hand!
— Akira Miki (Namari)

It's been's great pleasure and honor to be able to take part in the popular “Delicious in Dungeon”! Not only is imaginiing the taste of the dishes made from all the various ingredients (monsters) very exciting, but each and every one of the characters is very appealing, so I've been increasingly drawn into the story! Even as the oldest son of a distinguished family, Shuro is very diligent and a master swordsman. I want to have fun playing the role of Shuro while also giving it my best. Please look forward to it!
— Shinji Kawada (Shuro)

Kabru is interested in "humans", has excellent communication skills,

and hates dungeons and monsters, making him the opposite of Laios. However, the two do have similarities, and based on my personal interpretation, if Laios is considered a biologist, Kabru could be considered a sociologist. The world of "Delicious in Dungeon" is meticulously structured, and the motives and anticipations of the various characters are what help develop the story. Within this series, it is Laios' party that introduces us to the charm of trying to eat monsters, but just perhaps, it may be Kabru's party that actually approaches the mysteries of this world itself. I'm happy to be able to convey this wonderful story "Delicious in Dungeon", a celebration of all living things, to even more people through the anime. It would be great if you could support the anime as well as the original manga. Thank you for your support, and please look forward to it.

— Wataru Kato (Kabru)

This time, I've been selected to play the role of Rinsha,

the magician of Kabru's party! This adaptation carefully represents the depiction of each and every panel of the manga. During the character building when playing Rinsha, I learned and discovered things each time I went on set - even if you were to take any single line of the dialogue, I don't think there was ever a moment where I had to compromise anything. Whether you're a fan of the manga, or just happened to be interested this time, this beloved anime adaptation will have you smacking your lips in anticipation. Please do watch it!

— Rie Takahashi (Rin)

I'm Miyu Tomita, and I play Mickbell.

He has such an adorable appearance, but there are times when an evil look will show on his face. Mickbell and Kuro are often seen together, and even while I was playing my role, I was soothed by their interactions. And the overwhelming visual beauty...! I was touched; everything looks really delicious...!! Furthermore, it's not just the food, but the battles that will leave you on the edge of your seat that add to the appeal of this series. I hope you look forward to each episode with an empty stomach while eating delicious food!

— Miyu Tomita (Mickbell)

TV anime "Delicious in Dungeon"

I've been selected to play the role of Kuro! Food is important, right? "Delicious" provides a power that surpasses its nutritional value to not only the body, but also mind and spirit. As a viewer, I look forward to seeing how the various dishes made with locally sourced "ingredients" from within the dungeon will be portrayed. Kuro's appearance and movements may seem adorable, but when it comes to fighting, he's reliable... or at least, he should be!

— Tōru Nara (Kuro)

I'm Yuya Hirose, and I play the role of Holm!

Holm is a spirit magician who uses the four spirits of water, wind, fire, and earth, even giving them names and lovingly caring for them! He is sort of "fluffy", and even his slightly clumsy points make him an endearing character. The recording and animation production were meticulously done, so I can't wait for it to air! Please look forward to Kabru and the others' performances as well!

— Yūya Hirose (Holm)

Hearing rumors of an anime adaptation, as a fan I was eagerly waiting for further news, but who would have guessed that I would be able to take part in it myself!? Just like how they face the dungeons with a spirit of inquiry, I too would like to help create this series - greedily, while having fun, and with lots of love. Ever since I watched the premiere screening that was released the other day, my excitement and appetite know no bounds! Don't you get hungry when you come across an interesting series!? I can't wait for it to start airing!
— Kei Kawamura (Daya)
